Ceramic French Butter Keeper

This is a charming piece of pottery, but like somebody else I found it to be smaller than I expected. Admittedly, the measurements are right in the description, but somehow the pictures make it look bigger and without internal measurements or a similar product to compare to it was hard to understand how much butter fits inside. I thought based on the name 'french butter keeper' that this would be intended for use with the larger brick styles of european butter, but it's not sized well for that. For the price, I'm a little disappointed, but not because of the quality of the piece. If you know the item's sizing will work for you, and you like the rustic style, then you will love it.

This ceramic butter keeper is so pretty -the only thing I would change is to make it a bit bigger. The water well should be a bit deeper to keep more of the butter covered while it's sitting out. It's pretty shallow, and doesn't hold a whole stick of butter which means you've got leftovers every time you fill it. But that's my only suggestion, otherwise it's very pretty.
