HBO's Game of Thrones Coloring Book: (Game of Thrones Accessories, Game of Thrones Party Gifts, GOT Gifts for Women and Men) (Game of Thrones x Chronicle Books)

Coloring this book is like coloring a monk's manuscript. So much detail.

This book is fantastic. The artwork appears to be computer generated line art from actual stills and photographs from the TV series. So many of my favorite characters are included and there are also great depictions of King's Landing, Winterfell and Braavos. The book is also very large (11.5 x 11.6 inches), for comparison it is larger than Johanna Basford's books, Animorphia and the Daria Song books by about an inch on each side. The paper is a slightly off white, smooth light cardstock style. I only use colored pencils so I can't speak to whether markers would bleed through but the paper is very similar to the other better quality books I have. The pictures are printed on both sides of the page, with quite a few double page spreads. My only, only gripe is that with the double page spreads sometimes the subject is very close to the center (for instance in the picture of Daenerys with the Unsullied Army, Dany's shoulder is right in the crease). Very slightly annoying but the pictures are so great I'm more than willing to overlook that. The book also contains depictions of Ned Stark, Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, Brienne, The Hound and Oberyn Martell and others, as well as castles, the Night's Watch, and the Night King with his army of White Walkers. If you are a fan of this series I couldn't recommend this book any more highly!

If you like good quality coloring books & Game of Thrones then this is the one for you! This book is the perfect size, great pictures to color with great detail, all the main characters are in it. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful(and accurate) and the paper quality is nice and thick with a somewhat slick surface so no bleed through with your water based typical markers. There is some bleed through with alcohol based markers like spectrum noir, but the bleed through isn't as bad with a light touch and few layers. The illustrations are so beautifully detailed and delicately drawn that it almost seems sacrilege to color them by my crude hands.

There are a total of 35 designs (many of them are two page spread designs.) It is in a much larger format than most other coloring books at 11.5 x 11.75 inches. The designs are by artists Allan Jefferson and Adriana Melo and are based on photographs from the series. The styles of the two artists mesh well making it a very seamless looking book of elegant and well-drawn illustrations.The subjects of the designs are noted on the far left and right margins, so if you don't recall who/what, it is there to remind you. The designs themselves are quite detailed and have many intricate and small areas to color. Because of this detail and intricacy, it is not a book that I would recommend to anyone with fine motor or vision issues.The book has the same lush elegance I have found in the cinematography of the series. Both my husband and I have our own copies so we can each enjoy coloring the wide variety of designs. I think it is an excellent coloring book for fans of the series while at the same time equally great for others who don't watch the series but like the fantasy aspect and the elegant artwork.What I didn't like was how many of the designs spread across two pages. In my book, a number of those pages didn't line up very well. I still really like the book but that issue keeps me from loving it.This is what I experienced while coloring in this book and testing it with my coloring medium:35 Game of Thrones inspired designs from the HBO series22 of those designs spread across two pages and have elements which cross into the bindingPrinted on both sides of the pagePaper is white, heavyweight, slightly rough and non-perforatedSewn binding (several pages can be removed at a time by snipping the threads.)Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paperWater-based markers, India ink pens and gel pens did not bleed through nor did I have discernible shadows on the back of the page.Colored pencils worked very well with this paper. I tested both oil and wax based pencils with good results. I was able to get good, deep pigment. I could layer easily (both same and different colors.) Blending was also excellent using a pencil style blending stick.

I am a fan of GoT (obviously) and an avid adult coloring and there are some gorgeous images in this book. A word to the wise, if you are a beginner or an occasional color-er, you may want to start with something a little less challenging. I'm an OCD and opening this book nearly blew the fuse! I do love it and if you're a fan of both coloring and GoT, especially since this is the last season, get this. You can always keep it and work up to it!

I love these drawings, even though I am sorry some of the drawings are not as I imagined the subjects in my head! The dragons are great!I bought both coloring books at a time when I needed something meditative to chill out.Nonetheless, the second book has expansive borders which are a waste of space and often more Art Deco than medieval/ fantasy in style. Most of the time, I fill in the drawing's subject, and leave the Art Deco bits alone.The paper in both books is strong and easy to use. However, felt-type pens bleed through. Crayons or regular colored pencils are just fine.

Le livre est superbe, format carré, les pages sont épaisses, peut-être pas pour les feutres à l'alcool mais pour le crayon de couleur normal et aquarelle ainsi que le feutre basique, aucun souci sinon beaucoup de double page, le dessin est très travaillé, toutes les pages sont recto verso.

Beautiful art work and challenging to color as an adult colouring book should be !

Las imágenes para colorear son súper detalladas y reflejan a la perfección el contenido de la serie de televisión. Algunas son a una página y otras a doble página. Como aspecto negativo, las imágenes a doble página al ocupar todo el libro abierto se hacen difíciles de pintar en el centro. Por lo demás, un libro perfecto.
