Prepper Pete's Gun of a Son: A Gun Safety Book for Kids Paperback – Import, 14 March 2014

My 6 year old daughter enjoyed learning about gun safety and was entertaining as well.

As you know regardless of what you say to your children, sometimes they only heed advice when it comes from an outside source. This great little book repeats the advice we've been giving our daughter regarding firearms and allows her to digest it in her own time. This book is well-written and easy to understand for little ones a great resource to the introduction of the sport of Marksmanship.

I really wanted to like this book. It was very simplistic, and relied heavily on 'tell an adult'. Which in and of itself, is not wrong. But I was expecting a little more emphasis on how to actually handle firearms vs. the 'tell an adult' theme.

I absolutely love this book. It made gun safety really easy to explain to my kids. I love the idea of instilling respect for firearms and not fear of them. The author really hit the mark with Gun of a Son! I can't wait to check out the other Prepper Pete books!

A little more about preparation safety then gun safety. Would recommend for age 8 and up
