Elephant Garlic Rounds (Ajo Macho) Great for Fall Planting! (1 LB)

Today I received my solo garlic.They were a nice size, nice color and fresh looking. I would have taken a picture but I already planted them.

I’ve ordered several times already. I’ve also ordered the elephant garlic when it was available. I planted the elephant cloves last fall and had a fabulous crop in July. I live in New England. As for a previous comment one gave; the nature of the beast is thicker tan skins that appear right after curing and is not a problem. I am so completely pleased and satisfied! I put the solo balls in soups, stews and sauces. The photo with a braised chuck roast shows the cooked ball below a raw one for comparison. What a flavor bomb that easily spread throughout the whole dish.

6# of elephant garlic rounds = about 50 Looked nice and healthy. Planted immediately upon receiving with 4 of them showing exposed bulb. We'll see if they produce

My sister recently purchased from Walmart Mega large garlic rounds.

We bought so many. Very beautiful healthy and they smelled so fragrant. Very impressed. We planted them all so we have yet to taste them. Will review after growth. So after we planted them and harvested. Not many came out ajo macho. Not what we were expecting. Positive note we have some gorgeous garlic.

I do not recommend buying them, they were dry, the shell fell off by itself because they were so old, they looked all yellow and they were not good for cooking. poor quality.

These were very large bulbs and are good quality. Ill use them for growing garlic grass indoors. Planting a single clove of garlic was never the plan since its really supposed to be a single bulb of garlic. I had hoped to get some seed, baby bulbs and garlic grass out of it.

It didn’t have a great germination rate and the resulting plant was not very well liked for eating.
