Great Value, Highly Recommend
Digital Postal Scale by Libra MeasurementThis is a great little postal scale and absolutely worth the affordable price. I have an older scale that this one will be replacing immediately because it's so much easier to use. Sometimes the key to perfection is doing a lot of little things right.Power: This scale takes 3 AAA batteries or can be hooked up via a USB cable to the computer or charger of your choice or can be hooked into a wall outlet via the included USB cord and USB-to-plug wall adapter that comes with it. That's a hugely flexible number of charging options.On/Tare: Press the little on button to turn the scale on. If you want to tare it out to be at zero even with items already on the scale (so that you can easily measure an addition you want to add to the pile without having to do math in your head), you push the button again. There's a little "T" on the button next to the on symbol to remind you. It's simple, elegant, and beats having to do a special long-press like my last scale did.Mode: Press the mode button to cycle through measurements. This scale uses Kilogram (kg), Gram (g), Pound (lb), Ounce (oz), Pound : Ounce (lb : oz). Each display states what you're using at the time, so it's very easy and you don't run the risk of forgetting what you're measuring in.Auto-Sleep: On my old scale, the auto-sleep was my nemesis because the screen would quickly darken (so I couldn't read it) and then turn off altogether. Turning it back on would tare the measurement to zero, so now I had no idea what my weight was. THIS scale comes with an auto-sleep function, yes, but it only activates when you're on battery power. So if you're charging through the USB, you don't have to worry about it. That alone makes this scale a great buy.NOTE: This review is based on a free advance review product provided through Amazon Vine.~ Ana Mardoll

It works just fine
I ship out a lot of small items and having an accurate scale is important for figuring out postage costs. I picked this one up because of its wide weight limit range and its size. I'm pretty happy with it and the weight measurements have been exact to the other scale I have, so it appears to be quite accurate. I like the foldable mail stand feature, which I have not needed yet but its just nice to have available in case I do need to use it. My one complaint is that the LCD is not the easiest to read unless you are at the right angle. It also has a slow flash when it has the weight determined. I would prefer it to not flash and beep or let me know some other way that the weight has been determined. But that's a personal preference not a defect in the scale. Overall I am pretty happy with it and would recommend it.

Scale is fine but LCD blue backlight it too bright!
Testing this scale against another that I have, it measures right up and has a high capacity which is pretty impressive for the size of the scale. The big drawback though is that the LCD (or LED) is backlit with a blue light that is way too bright! It doesn't need to be that bright! The background light makes it hard to look at the weight readout for very long. Now if that's a scale for weighing myself, I could get on board with that! However, since this is meant for weight things for shipping, it doesn't need such a bright backlight.

Great little postal scale, USB powered or 3 AAA batteries
We really like this scale over the prior rechargeable one we were using as many times we had to charge it up some before we could weigh the item we are shipping (it had no battery level indicator & would not work while plugged in). This has a great weight capacity up to 66 lbs. The tray that folds open is great to help with weighing envelopes that are tall. The display is easy to see. We don't find it too bright. As long as you are not looking straight down on the display the numbers are clear & easy to read. The included power cord / adapter is your standard USB plug on the power side. We are using a USB hub to power the scale instead of the included adapter (still need to use the included cord). It power right up, you can 0 it out if you have something on it (like a bowl & you only want the weight the contents after you fill the bowl). You can also weigh in grams instead of pounds / ounces. We currently have 0 complaints & am very glad we have this scale. Makes weighing for shipping very easy. (guess we have used over 100 times since we 1st got this scale)

Nice inexpensive scale
This has some nice features specifically for measuring packages. Would have preferred if the weighing surface was made of metal rather than plastic because of the difference in moving mass but it's good enough for this use case. The scale flashes once a weight is steady to let you know that it's done measuring. I'm not sure yet if I like that or not.The display is backlit which is a huge plus if you've had to use one that didn't in dim light.I'm also a big fan of the inclusion of a wall power adapter. If you're only going to use the scale once in a blue moon, it's annoying to put batteries in it and then find six months to a year later that they're drained.Speaking of batteries, it's actually kind of annoying to install the three AAA batteries in this thing. The way the battery chamber is designed makes it so the batteries don't want to align properly when you install them. Really weird.

Nice small scale that will take care of the shipping information before getting to the post office.

Great shipping scale with a pretty high capacity!
Got this for multiple uses: weighing foods and calculate shipping. The power adapter is included, but the AAA batteries aren't. The units can be read as grams, ounces, pounds, and kilograms. For under $20, this is a really great deal. It is solid in quality and value.
