Let me start by saying my wife work the early mornings and I work nights. Fun, I know. About late April Satan’s minions(mocking birds) start their evil chirp. We have two giant carrot wood trees that they love to spew their high decibel mating call. This lasts for what seems like the entire summer and some. They land in branches right next to the bedroom window and mock us to death. If I could legally dispose of them I would. These cheap plastic twirly icicles have seemed to work, at least over the past 3 weeks. The cheap rubber band they come with is all but useless. I used some of my fishing line, a small sacrifice, to hand them with. The winged bullhorns have been keeping their distance so far. Will update later, unless I’m in prison for bird(er). ;)

For our woodpeckers we had to place them fairly close (6-8 feet apart). They are working to keep them away so far. It's only been a week.

We had a problem with barn swallows nesting under the roof of our side porch (the door most used) and I thought this might keep them away this year. They've hardly been phased by the rods. I just keep knocking down whatever nesting they've built every day or so. In some ways it seems cruel, but there are plenty of other areas on our property where they can nest. I'm just eliminating this one.

We had up to 25 ducks flying in each evening for months, pooping in and around our condo pool. Our maintenance crew had to clean the pool and wash off the deck every morning. We tried the owl with the moving head and other measures without success.We put these streamers up with 60lb test fishing line over the pool. That evening, the flock came in, saw the streamers, and flew away, never to return. Success!

The woodpecker ignores them and continues to peck holes into our pergola. Ther other birds play with them by pushing them so that they swing back and forth. Geesh, I didn't realize I was creating a playground! I'd rate 5 stars if it actually kept them away.

These actually work! The birds stay away so no more bird poop all over. Several neighbors purchased as well. Great item and they look nice!

It’s a good product

Bought these because birds were slamming into our windows almost daily. Some died, some lived. I bought stickers before but they only work for a while before looking terrible. We bought these and hung them outside of the window with suction cup hooks. They make some noise when it’s windy but no big deal. Best part of it is that we haven’t had one bird strike since we’ve hung them. I had to tie 3 together for each window but it’s worth it to not have birds with busted necks and noggins.
