Turtle Beach Recon 200 White Gen 2 Amplified Gaming Headset - PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X or S, Xbox One and PC

Great headset. I had a cheaper version before, but switched to these.. sound quality is brilliant and very comfortable

I am an adult gamer, I am over 40 and no I don’t live in my mother’s spare room. I am a lawyer and I find gaming to be my release.I am fortunate enough to have the Series X, PS5, Xbox One X and PS4 pro. I have Steelseries Arctic 9x for the Series X and PS4 Gold headphones for PS5.What I needed was a little set for the older consoles upstairs, for when the Mrs or kids want the main TV. I have had numerous Turtle Beach sets in the past and I have always been impressed.The Recon 200 are an excellent set, I was lucky and picked up a warehouse special for £22, so price wise a real bargain; that said I would have happily paid £50 for these.The sound is good and clear, the spatial audio is as good as you will get on a sub £100 set without real 7.1 support. I was able to hear footsteps approach in COD, and the bass was satisfying for this range.For long term play, I did find the headband a little cheaper than other similar sets I have had in the past (Stealth X4). I found the cups a little sweaty and a bit tighter than I would have liked for longer sessions, but for me as a second set for a quick 30-60 minute play they are superb.If you are looking for a set for a teenager, they will be excellent; if you can get them as I did for under £30 you will not find a better headset anywhere.They work with all current consoles inc Switch, simply by plugging the 3.5mm audio Jack in.They are powered, inbuilt battery charged via micro USB. They have a good life but note they are not wireless - you will be looking at circa £100 for a half decent wireless set.Good value, good sound, good headphones, Turtle Beach you are Turtely Amazing.... I bought this exact headset a while back, and it worked great. I ended up giving it away to a friend who need a headset, and since I had the funds to make a new purchase I decided on buying the same one.The box was in great condition, and upon opening the box and seeing the headset for the first time, it looked brand new (as expected seeing as I bought it unused). However, despite it looking great, and it being the exact same model, I noticed that the mic was cheap feeling compared to my other one. The plastic seems thinned out and in general less solid but I don't think it's something too much of an issue unless you find yourself heavy handed, or rough when flipping it up and down to mute.On terms or performance, its really good. The sound quality is great, specially with the base boosted audio via the battery. Speaking of the battery, it's audio lasted a lot longer than expected.I was a bit worried about using the mic in private voice and game chats, but i was genuinely impressed with the feedback from some friends and strangers. The mic picks up on your voice really well, while negating background audio (with help from built in software from other party services - i.e. discord and so forth), and there's no echo.I tested this mic on the following consoles:Ps5, Xbox s/x, Mobile, PC, and Quest 2 VRResults per console I tested:Ps5 - Audio works great, Mic is loud, clear, and doesn't echo.Xbox s/x - Audio works well, Mic is a bit quieter, and has few random echos. Still works well though.Mobile - Audio is good, mic is quiet but still works woth no echo. Has a little buzz sound in both categories.Pc - Audio is okay sounding, the mic is quiet and echos a lot.Quest 2 Vr - Audio works great with the PS setting, the mic is loud and clear with the odd echo.Overall opinion:Given this item is on sale at the time of review,And that I purchased it disconnected, I 100% recommend it. Its generally a good headset specially for the price range. Yes, the materials used feel cheaper than when I last picked this model up, but as long as you're not rough with it, and take care of it, I don't see it being an issue and breaking. The audio is great for most consoles (that i use), and the mic is clear and doesn't echo. The battery life is good, and only takes an hour charging with the given cable to be fully charged. I do think it's worth the base price, but if you can get it on sale its well worth it!

Great pair of headphones for ps5 sound is great no crackles or anything microphone so you can charge the headset but you still need to plug in the headphones but the charge will last around 10 hours personally it could be longer but still great for price and superb quality they are not wireless in any way

I recently purchased the Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 headset to use with my Xbox Series X, and overall, I'm quite pleased with my purchase. This means that if the cable gets damaged or broken, the headset will be unusable. However, this is a minor issue and doesn't detract from the overall quality of the product for the price you pay for them.All in all, I would definitely recommend the Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 headset to any gamer looking for a comfortable, high-quality headset with excellent audio and a convenient flip-to-mute microphone.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this headset on 6/6/24 and they’re already broken. They haven’t been dropped or handled rough. This happened from adjusting the headset when they were to tight or loose. They sound good just not made well.

Não tive nenhum problema com conforto ou qualidade sonora, headset muito bommmm, o destaque fica para os graves, muito potente e sem distorção, quando os agudos entram os graves continuam na mesma proporção, e não sofrem nenhum tipo de exagero

Totalmente recomendables, tiene inhibidor de sonido, y puedes mutear el microfono solo levantandolo. Tiene el volumen ambiental por lo que puedes decidir si estar escuchando el entorno, sirve para no elevar la voz mientras usas el microfono porque escuchas alrededor. Un punto a considerar es que tiene que recargarse, Aunque con poco tiempo que lo cargues te da mucho tiempo de uso si traes apuro. Por lo que no hay que olvidar apagarlos cuando termines de usarlos.En resumen de funcionalidad, estetica, calidad de sonido y habilidad para silencio ambiental le doy un 10. Punto en contra solo que son recargables y tienes que estar pendiente de que si lo usaras ponerlo a cargar. Una carga completa dura varias horas en uso continuo.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix, casque qui prend bien toute l’oreille, superbe qualité sonore pour le prix, je recommande totalement
