BigKitchen Wenol Metal Polish Shiner with Surface Protection

I've been using Barkeeper's Friend to polish our decorative copper, and it's amazing how well it works - removes amazing amounts of tarnish with practically no effort. But once the item is shining beautifully, it doesn't last long. Within two days, the copper tarnishes unevenly and isn't very attractive. I have no intention of polishing these items every couple of days, so I was looking for a copper cleaner+polish that would somehow protect the copper once it's shined up and not tarnish as quickly. Wenol is one of the products that make this claim, so I decided to give it a try. It doesn't polish with near the ease of BF, but it does leave a shinier surface. Best of all, it seems to protect fairly well: a copper pot that I polished two weeks ago looks just the way it did on the day I polished it. It can't possibly last forever, but it seems to do the job I wanted. Only problem is that, compared to BF and some other copper polishing products, this stuff is pretty expensive for the amount of surface that you can polish. So no Five Stars, but I'll give it Four - until I find something that works as well that's not as expensive.By the way, this particular seller's Wenol is from Thailand. It seems to work as advertised, so I don't consider that to be a problem, but if you're looking for a German-made product, this ain't it.

I’ve been using Wenol (red) for more than 30 years. This is a great all around metal polish.I do not recommend this product on Harley-Davidson aluminum wheels. It leaves a dark residue in the small crevices.

I have new Newport Brass polished nickel faucets and they got accidentally stained with dye and hard water spots. I had tried several other products and nothing worked. Wenol quickly worked, leaving my faucets like new. I nearly didn't try it because of the reviews so I wanted to leave my first product feedback.Wenol is low odor, didn't destroy my hands when I used it and quickly got the job done. I will be buying more!

I bought this on the recommendation of a well-respected fountain pen restorer. Although Wenol is intended for use as a metal polish, its non-abrasive properties and fine waxy finish make it ideal for de-oxidizing browned or greened hard rubber. Not only did Wenol restore some of the original blackness to my 1920's Waterman Ideal 55 without damaging the imprint or chasing in any way, it also restored the shine and gave it a fine, smooth, water-resistant finish. I honestly couldn't be happier.

I've used just about every silver polish there is, and this is my favorite. It's easy to use, and silver lasts for a long time before I have to polish again. I'm not fond of the smell, but does such a good job, will be using this forever!
