A delightful coloring book! I love the images and really love the black background -- so different and fun to experiment with. My Gel pens go through the rather thin paper. Don't know if they would stain the page beneath because I stuck a piece of scrap paper behind each page I colored. It's worth mentioning that nothing shows on the scrap paper. I usually use a combination of gel, sharpies, and colored pencils so if things change drastically with sharpies or pencils I'll update later. I know I should put it away for next year but the pictures are just so charming! I'm just going to have to hope she draws another one for next year <3Only little bits left to do when I pulled it out for this year. I got a bit carried away last year with my glitter pens and they sure can make the picture pop. If the book is still in stock I'll be tempted to order another because it's my favorite for Christmas coloring. The only way to make it better would be to use heavier paper so gels and watercolor pens are easier to use.

Merry Christmas is the first black background coloring book I have purchased. I have "Glowing Mandalas" which are on a black background. However, to me they differ significantly in my view because glowing mandalas are printed on very thin paper . This book has thicker paper and my gel pens only leave a slight shadow on back page and, the paper doesn't warp.This book has :Pros.+ 30 designs that vary from one central image ,to smaller more detailed images.+ The designs are all single-sided, with the reverse are blank.+ Page's are medium-thin ,gel pens, and fineliners make the images stand out. Color pencils , and markers work well also. I use construction paper to protect the next page.Cons~ The book is smaller than what I was expecting.~ Pages are not perforatedOverall I like the designs and the concept of the book. I would recommend this book to others. Especially those who like Glowing style Mandalas.

I like this book.however I think some of the pictures are to detailed for the size of this book.

I purchased this for my elderly mother, who has decreased vision. The drawings have details, but are not so detailed to make it difficult for her to color. The black background makes a nice contrast for the finished picture. To add a little of extra detail, I would suggest using a shade darker color on the shadows (dotted areas)- it gives a little more depth.Each page is printed on one side only, so no problem with colors bleeding through, and pages can be cut out easily. There's a nice variety of scenes, and it is one of the best coloring books I've bought for her...and nicely priced, at that!

I like chalk style coloring books and this one was simple but nice. I really have enjoyed coloring this book and would recommend it.

An adorable little holiday coloring book! This book is the perfect size to travel with and would make a great little companion for long rides or flights. The images are simple in nature, but can be embellished as you wish to make them pop on the page. I did subtract one star for the quality of the paper as it is quite thin but other than that, this little book is definitely worth having.

This book is full of cute simple Christmas images with a black background so you don't have to put one in. The images are also single sided. The problem is the horrible create space paper. It's rough, coarse and everything shows through the back of the page. I hate that. It's 😔😔 is my fault that I forgot to check the publisher on this book. I have bought one book published through create space in the past and I swore never to do so again. The experience was so bad that I will never buy anything by that artist ever again. It's really sad because so many adult coloring books are over detailed and complicated. It was so nice to find a book with clear simple images but after doing one image it is unlikely that I will do any more. If the bleed through doesn't bother you, you would enjoy this. If bad paper is a peeve of yours stay far far away.

Not pleased with this book. Paper is thin, the colours bleed through to next page and when colouring on the dark pages you seem to get a black light scum when using lighter colours, i.e. yellow specifically. Will not be ordering again or recommending.

Lovely colouring pages. Can't wait to colour them in over the weekend. The black background makes the images stand out. The pages are thin though so I would recommend placing something underneath to prevent colour transferring onto the next page. Thank you :)

Very very disappointed with the book,,, very simplistic images,, if you are OK at drawing and inclined you could add more detail,,, the paper is very very thin as is the cover,, it has the feel of a magazine rather than a book

Great colouring book! Really nice variety of pictures, printed on one side of the page only. I found that felt tip pens tend to dampen and rough the paper too much, however gel pens used for highlights and coloured pencils work incredibly well and the black in the images really does make it pop!

This is a really good colouring book makes you remember the magic of christmas. Really relax colouring this.
