Great resource -- really nice photos and information.

As another reviewer commented, ths new book has gorgeous photographs of areas of southern Italy. There are also dozens of useful maps and the book is a convenient size to stick in your carryon bag when you travel.But the one thing that really impressed me was how well organized the book is - it is simple to access information on a specific place that you are visiting - everything from key attractions, sample multi-day itineries and great places to eat, shop, drink and enjoy. The pages are color-keyed by region so you can quickly find the area you will be visiting and scope out the best uses of your travel time.

Really helped us plan activities on our trip. Not too bulky, easy to carry, thorough information. Glad we got it.

This travel guide is full of amazing recommendations! We ate at so many wonderful restaurants and saw so many extrodinary places thanks to this little book. It's compact, thorough, and full of wonderful itinerary suggestions.

These two women have written a truly special travel guide for southern Italy. The detail and description of places to visit is amazing. Our plan is to add a selected a foodie tour and then added a week for and airnbnb decompress week afterwards. This book is amazingly detailed, and completely guided our development of our proposed trip. I would give this guide a 4.5 of 5.0 stars.

Exactly what I wanted

This was the perfect book to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and the dream of a near future vacation in Southern Italy. Not only were the photographs stunning but each section provided opportunities for many different types of travelers. Including what to prioritize if you have a short stay versus a long stay, where to find nature hikes, what architecture to admire... It is clear that the authors love this area and are knowledgeable of both the history and the culture. l plan to spend many hours with this book to make my vacation in Southern Italy a reality!

I bought this book because we were not just going to Sicily, and this one covers the Amalfi area too. It was helpful, but in terms of restaurants, places to stay, etc., books just aren't as critical as they used to be, and Google is what you will wind up using all the time, whether its maps, restaurant reviews etc. You will use air BNB or Booking or whatever to find your rooms. You will use the TrenItalia app to book trains, and probably book buses at train stations or at the bus stop. There are apps for Pompeii, Agrigento, etc. that give you what you need. Travel book publishers need to adapt to these realities and not waste paper on restaurants and stuff. A book we had that just featured hikes was more useful.
