My first pain free sleep in a VERY long time
Between my sciatica and the fact that (despite my best efforts) I'm just aging, it's really hard for me to get a good night's sleep. I'm always a little skeptical about mattresses and such, because I've been let down so many times. However, I always have that hope that maybe one of these will do the trick. I've tried Snuggle-Pedic in the past. I have a wonderful shredded memory foam body pillow from them that has given me so much relief. I figured why not try the mattress? Worst case scenario, I wake up in pain, like I always have. So I gave it a shot. The shipping on this one was surprisingly fast. Not quite Prime fast, but pretty close. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but this is my experience. When it showed up, HELLO GIANT BOX. I mean, it's a mattress. What do you expect? Box is taller than me, and my kids and cats were forever excited about its arrival, because they knew they'd get first dibs. It's also a REALLY heavy box while the mattress is still inside it. Just a warning. So before you can do anything with it, you gotta wrangle it out of this box, cut a bunch of tape, and CAREFULLY slice through some plastic wrap. Why all these steps? Because it's deflated (for a lack of a better term) and rolled up so it can fit in a much smaller (but still giant) box. Trust me. You'll prefer the "smaller" box, anyways. Do your best to do all this opening while near your foundation and save yourself the added effort. Because once it's exposed to air, it's gonna expand fast. If it's already in place, less effort for you. Also, make sure you grab that piece of paper that's taped to the plastic. That's your Warranty information. You will want to hang on to that.So you've just opened this monstrosity, and it's in place. This is probably where you're going to want to drop on top of it and rest from all that work. Go right ahead and give in to that feeling. That's what I did. And my forever achey back and hips popped in probably 6 places just from that. It felt so good. However, you'll notice that if you do that right after opening, it'll have an odd smell. That's just from the memory foam and will fade out in an hour or so. Seriously, it does go away. That smell is there on ANY new memory foam mattress, pillow, or pad. No way around it. Just let it air out.I'm adding a picture of what it looks like right when you take it out of the box. It has a nice design to it. You see all those holes in the top? Those are actually functional. I overheat all the time with any mattress. I have yet to have issues with overheating since sleeping on this one. The air flow through this mattress and the cover is phenomenal. You can see more on how that works in the diagrams the seller has posted, but I can tell you from experience that it is highly effective. This was noticeable from Night 1. There is also a zipper that goes around the cover so you can remove it and adjust the firmness. I'm quite happy with it how it came. When it fully inflated and I saw how thick it was, I worried about whether or not my sheets would even fit it. It's thicker than my old mattress, and sometimes I even struggled to fit my sheets on that one. However, the sheets fit with no problems, whatsoever. I'm not sure how I managed that, but I'm glad looks were deceiving.I received this mattress exactly 2 weeks ago from the day I'm posting this review. I told myself that I would post it the third day that I woke up without pain. Today is it. Two weeks. That's all it took. Were all those days awesome and pain free? Obviously not, or this review would have been posted sooner. I chose the third instead of the first because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be just a really good week. And I assure you, with all the rain in our area this week, the odds are stacked against me.This part is IMPORTANT. When you first get a new mattress (ANY mattress, really, but especially memory foam), your body has an adjustment period. It's usually about a week or so of awkward almost pain but mostly just uncomfortable feelings. Mine was legitimate pain, but I also have other issues to deal with and I was upgrading from a really old, terrible mattress. This transition period is your body realigning itself to your new sleep surface. After that realignment, you will (hopefully) notice a positive difference between what your back feels like now and what it did before. If not, there is a 90 day sleep trial for this mattress AND a free customization policy. My experience, however, is a slightly longer adjustment period, but finally a complete lack of pain where I'd always had some. If you have pain, expect results more like mine. Point being, I wanted to make sure you're aware that there is this adjustment period so you don't toss out a perfectly amazing mattress, when you really just are dealing with the realignment stage. One of the things that caught my eye, though, is that the warranty on this mattress is better than most I've seen. For the first 10 years, the manufacturer is responsible for any parts, labor, and materials. Any needed repairs are covered. You just have to pay shipping. Years 11-20, there's a pro-rated amount to pay (based on how long ago you've purchased this mattress) and shipping and handling. And, of course, this only covers manufacturing defects. You can't just attack your mattress with knives and cigarettes and expect the manufacturer to pay. Common sense (and common decency). However, my personal opinion, it's recommended to replace your mattress after 10 years, anyways. At that point, I'd probably check to see what NEW Snuggle-Pedic mattresses are out. Yes, I'll probably be sticking with this brand. Between their mattress and their body pillow, my sciatica doesn't wake me up or keep me awake anymore. There is no price that I could ever put on that. Now, I just need to check out some of their other products.

I love this mattress!
I want to love this mattress. I have been looking for natural gel type one that is latex free as I am allergic to it. To find a company that is here in the USA and that has no outsourced ingredients was just perfect. After unwrapping and laying flat, the mattress opened up quickly and within 2 hours was ready to sleep on. Absolutely no odor or off gassing at all. Cool at night to sleep on. My problem is that it is just a little too firm. I have had kidney cancer and my back needs a little more softness where my surgery was. I am looking for a topper of some kind but they all have products that defeat the purpose of the bamboo mattress. I have tried so hard to adjust, but cannot sleep as comfortably as I had hoped. I will update my review if I am successful.Update July 4, 2018:After I wrote this review, I very quickly got an email response from Relief-Mart, the makers of Snuggle-Pedic products. Dalia at customer service had read the review and let me know that they had already sent me a mattress protector at no cost. I was invited to call and discuss my needs for the mattress. Dalia informed me that if the protector didn't work, they would manufacture a custom made adjustment layer for my mattress also at no additional cost to me.The additional layer came 2 nights ago and I can say that I was quite comfortable and slept as well as I have in quite awhile. I have never had such exceptional customer service from any company and I have been an Amazon shopper since 1998.I feel so fortunate to have found this mattress and am very happy with the quality and the exceptional customer service. Now I have a Snuggle-Pedic Queen size pillow on order. Cannot wait!

Getting a good night's sleep in a great mattress was something I never thought about it until I finally did!
This is my first ever mattress review and most likely my last. I'm slightly old school, officially from the baby boomer generation. I grew up with the traditional box spring and mattress. When we needed a new mattress, which wasn't often, we went to the nearest department store. As I got older, I became more familiar with the mattress stores and buying a mattress was like buying a car. Frankly, I always waited 12-15 years before I replaced my mattress. Now, I'm understanding how much of a mistake that was. Getting a good night's sleep in a great mattress was something I never really thought about it, until I actually did and realized what I missed out on all these years. My mattress quest started about 6 months ago. I was fascinated with the Mattress in a Box phenomenon and I wanted to find out why people were buying their mattresses online and learn more about memory foam. I was familiar with the traditional box spring and mattress and I never even tried a memory foam mattress before but with all the hype with Casper and Tuft n Needle, I wanted to find out why people were buying these brands without the typical rest test.Since I live in LA, billboard central, I kept on seeing billboards for Casper everywhere and was constantly reading news articles and reviews online and thought I would start there. I ordered a Casper directly from the manufacturer, even with 0 percent financing. Just like they stated, my mattress showed up 2 days later in this tall skinny condensed box. So I moved my old mattress outside, which was about 13 years old and moved my Casper box to my bedroom. Now the fun part, unboxing my Casper, it was so cool to see my mattress conform to its correct size. I was ready to try out my new memory foam Casper mattress. After my first few nights, I wasn't exactly sure if it was for me. I felt it was too stiff, I would of liked it to be softer, it felt to flat for me. Although, I was liking the memory foam. It just was too hard for me. Given Casper had a no questions asked warranty/return policy, I was contemplating sending it back for a full refund but I had another idea instead. I own a small bungalow in Palm Springs that is rented quite often on Airbnb. I decided to take my Casper to my Palm Springs bungalow and let it reside there for my renters. But I wasn't done with the Mattress in the Box, I liked the memory foam, but I just felt it wasn't quite right for me. So I began my research to some of the other competitors: Tuft n Needle, Luna, and finally Snuggle-Pedic. I had a friend who had a Tuft N Needle and asked him if I could stop over to try it out. I actually liked it better than the Casper but I wasn't completely sold on it. I decided to dig deeper and did more research online and on Amazon. Being a Prime Amazon Member, I'm a huge Amazon fan. As I was researching on Amazon, I came across Snuggle-Pedic. It was even manufactured in the LA and it had great reviews on Amazon and it was even the highest rated memory foam mattress on Amazon. So I decided I was going to give it a try. It was less than the Casper and I received it within 3 business days. Once again, I went thru the unwrapping process, so fun, my favorite part. Now it was time to try the Snuggle-Pedic.At first glance, it looks very similar to Casper and Tuft N Needle. I ended up purchasing a bamboo cover which was made specifically for this mattress. Well upon laying on my mattress and a good couple weeks of trying it out, I was loving it. It was much softer but still firm. I liked the feel of it and how my back felt after a good night's sleep. I really felt that I had found the perfect mattress. Everything good so far. I know that Snuggle-Pedic will even customize your mattress if it was too hard or too soft. They offer a service where they will pick it up and do the adjustments and return it back to you all free of charge. What a great service but for me, everything was jiving for me. The firmness and the softness was a perfect combination. As it turns out, after a couple months of using my new Snuggle-Pedic, I couldn't be happier. It was a good fit for me and I was happy to be a content and happy customer of my first memory foam mattress in a box mattress. It pays to do your research and I'm now the biggest advocate for Snuggle-Pedic. Next up, the Snuggle-Pedic Memory Foam Pillow. I will be buying that next to see if I can replace my MyPillows which are just okay. I will follow up with a review on their pillow in the near future.
