some one asked if these fit the 105"s. They don't, but some careful cutting on them and they can be made to work. The 105's have more reinforcement than higher end Shimano, probably as the material is not as strong, so the dabs have to be cut back to work, both in the back, and minor cutting to match the radius at the front I think structurally they will be fine, as the foot pad is still in full contact with the pedal, as is the engagement area that sit on the metal plate of the pedal. The photo may not make a lot of sense until you have one of these in your hands, sorry, no before shot. Slippery, need to find something to glue to the foot surface, and will make a "wrench" to pull the release mechanism back to get these off and on easier.

pretty good
I have two pairs for the 105 5700 pedals on the touring bikes my wife and I use for getting around the city where we live. We commute longer distances with clipless pedals but when we want to take a quick trip to the store or out to meet friends we use these. I like the tension on my pedals very high and find I have to back off on the tension to engage and disengage these, a minor annoyance but still easier than swapping pedals or trying to pedal the spd-sl pedals with soft soled casual shoes.

Not easy to install or remove if you are in a hurry - otherwise perfect
Although it is a bit hard to set it up. But once on, they are as good as having flat pedals and I am loving it. Just like installing, getting them off is a bit of a pain. But hey ho! It is what it is, not easy to install or remove if you are in a hurry, but great once on the pedals to work with any other kind of shoe.

They do the job fine. They hold well in my SPD pedals (they don't fall), they take a few seconds to click in or remove which is what I was looking for.The platform is decent. Now my expectations are not very high there: I only use them to ride short distances, at a leisurely pace in the greater neighborhood, often with my kids or to run a small errand.

Easy to install
Easy to install. Functions as advertised. But don't expect to get the same power or performance out of your road bike's pedal system with these attached. It's basically just good for short hops where you either don't have your clips or just want to wear regular sneakers.

These adapters were easy to install and remove on my Shimano 105 SPD-SL pedals (watch the youtube video first). The platform is a bit small compared to a true platform pedal, so you do feel a bit of pressure if you're wearing soft soled shoes. If planning to use these for longer rides (10+ miles), wear something with some stiffer soles.

For the most part they clip in and out easily. A couple of times it's taken a minute or two because it wouldn't click, but most of the time they go on and off no problem. It's not at large as typical platform pedals, but if I'm going to go more than 4 or 5 miles I'd be clipping in anyhow, so I don't find it to be a problem/issue. It's nice to be able to commute or run errands on the bike without dealing with my bike shoes.

Nice!
Nice option to turn old SPD SL pedals to flat pedals. Easy installation. Perfect to make my old road bike my "putter around and run errands" bike.

Nice but be advised they dont fit PD-5800
These do not fit my pedals on my main bike which has PD-5800. I didnt see the full description when I ordered which gives you the model they will fit, just thought it was all Shimano's, so that is my fault, but they do fit the pedals on my other bike (not sure what number they are), I will try the trick of filing down the sides to see if I can fit them on as I want them on my main bike for commuting as there is a lot of stop starts. They do seem to fit on securely and are easy to release so I think they will do the job.

Unique product which fits the bill
I bought these for my Dura Ace PD7810 pedals for short rides using ordinary trainers. They arrived sooner than expected from the US and there was no duty to pay. As someone else has pointed out, you need to back off the tension to clip them in to the pedals (the tension in mine was set quite high). It remains to be seen whether I will have to change the tension each time I take off the adapters - probably not as I don't have a problem with my cleats unclipping unexpectedly with lower tension. Even with the low tension, I haven't been able to remove the adapters by hand - it looks easy in the video on YouTube but I have to use an Allen key to take them off. It's not a big problem. The pedals look a little odd with the adapters clipped in but they do the job pretty well. I don't have an issue with the relatively small area of contact and, in the dry at least, there is plenty of grip even with smooth soled shoes. The material looks like ABS and I don't foresee any durability issues.

does what it says on the tin.
Do the job as described, could do with a bigger surface area of the pedal though.

Great for the times you can't ride clipless
These work really well. I've tried another type before which were terrible as they were really difficult to clip in and out. Not these though, so simple and quick.
