The Good Sam RV Travel & Savings Guide

Not as good as the old Woodall's book.
Camping World bought out the makers of the old Woodall's Camping Guide. This new book does provide some pertinent information, but it is obvious that Camping World made it more commercial and less informative. All campgrounds are not included in the book. When visiting an area, I find a Google search may unveil some good campgrounds that are not included in this book.

I have a Good Sam's membership and wouldn't leave home without this updated ...
Just what I needed to get ready for driving from Texas to Nova Scotia in the fall; I have a Good Sam's membership and wouldn't leave home without this updated RV campground book. Canada is also covered, which is a plus for those going that far north. I had the 2015 version and was surprised how much had changed. I do wish this were spiral bound, however, because this is a thick heavy book and a bit difficult to manage, especially on the road. It has a wealth of information, not just on Good Sam but public campgrounds and non-Good Sam grounds too. well worth the price.

Good Sam RV Travel Guide
This is my third one of this book, I bought the most up to date and use it almost every day while we are on the road. There are not many surprises at a camp site when you use this book, it gives good driving directions to the camp grounds and in many even the GPS coordinates. Definitely a must have for the RV owner!!

Heavily weighted towards Good Sam/Camping World sites/products
This book is HUGE! It's reminiscent of phone books from days gone by with 1300+ pages. There's an incredible amount of information, although the book would be half it's size if it weren't for all the advertisements. Heavily weighted towards Good Sam/Camping World sites/products, don't understand why this wasn't available to GS members...yet another reason why I left!

Too many add's
Tons of adds its the same size as an old phone if you lived in Los Angles before the internet its made out of the same thin paper and full of advertisement , a bit hard to find what you need because of all the adds hard to find the map pages I wish it had bolder print for the index pages print is so small I need to put on two pair of glasses to see the print and way to many adds make it so hard to find information. It is useful if you want to find park names and phone numbers, I guest my biggest complaint for 18.50 its mostly a book of adds your selling me an RV phone book if it were free I would not complain about all the adds I know what I paid for my add in the phone book years ago the add's are what paid for the book I just hate paying for advertisement and I know them add's are not free for the advertisers .
