I really am impressed. I don't impress easily any more, but the lighter is just too cool! I had never even heard of this type of lighter, and thought, what the heck, sounds amuzing. Ordered it, it arrived quickly, and it is actually very attractive. The pictures do not do it justice. Very handsome for either a male or female, or something in between. When you open the lighter, there are two beams, and when you put your cigarette into the beams, there it makes an "X" in reddish color, and that lights your cigarette. Never seen anything like it . When you plug it in to charge, it has a blue light while charging.I am very pleased, and would buy it for a gift, especially for someone who has never seen it work. Too cool!

Not going to lie, it took me a few minutes to find the button to turn the lighter on. Once I actually read the instructions I was pretty impressed how this lighter works (no button, uses a sensor). I recently lost my lighter on a trip to Miami that was a single beam arc and am kind of happy I did because this replacement is an upgrade for sure. Seems to be made of high quality material and definitely would never guess this lighter cost less than $20-$30 but for the actual price paid I'm very happy. Packaging is very presentable as well the box it comes in isn't something you'll be throwing out with your weekly pizza boxes. Hope that this review is not short lived and that it lasts over time.

As a medical marijuana user, I have to light and relight a joint several times. The charge usually lasts 2 days. I used to have to refill a butane lighter frequently. All it takes is 1 to 11/2 hours to recharge it and no more butane taste.Update 4/17/17It worked great for a couple of months, then the LED light stopped illuminating but it still worked other wise. After another 2 weeks of use, it quit arcing, although the trigger beam still lights, so I know its charged. It does make a pretty, shinny paper-weight now!

For anyone wondering how to clean this lighter you first have to unscrew the little Phillips screw on the bottom next to the charger port. Then carefully slide the top out of the bottom case (like a zippo). Get a piece of paper and fold it so it is small enough to put between the connections where the door opens and it activates the lighter. Then you can clean it with a wet towel. Tedious. But worth it. Remember to put it back together carefully because the wires can get caught easily.

These Lighters are awesome. Read the instructions before 1st use and there should be no problems. I tested them out on different materials after following the instructions of before first use and everything works exactly the way I want it to. They are the exact same type of lighters as the Plazmatic brand lighters. These do the same job, same quality, etc for just a third or more of the name brand price. In my opinion the only difference is that these do not have decals and such. It is better to buy these lighters and place your own custom decals on the lighter to make it unique to your personality.

I bought this for my dad as a gift and he loves it. He smokes a lot of cigarettes on a daily basis and he tends to buy lighters very often. Now he does not need to since he can always recharge this one anytime he likes. It is very sleek and buttonless, so it is very cool to see him put a cigarette in between the electrodes and watch the arc happen instantly. Comes with a little bag to carry it in and a charger cable in a nice little box.

Very happy with this gift. I just received and tested it today so I'm not sure about the battery life. But the box it comes in is very nice it is all wrapped nicely and it has a nice little bag to carry the lighter in. If you ready the tiny pamphlet it will say that the lasers do not turn on until your cigarette is close, which was unexpected but a nice safety feature. Again this was very clean fast delivered. I am very happy with my purchase. I will update if the battery life becomes a problem.

Much cooler in theory than practice. The quality is fine (pretty solid actually), but the arcs are much thinner than the photo, and they don't activate when you open the lighter. You have to hold something DIRECTLY ADJACENT to the arc-ports to start them up, and so you never actually get to see the cool visual effect unless you insert something and then remove it to look.I'm not returning it because nothing is technically wrong, just disappointing.
