Love it!
I love it! I have tried a lot of devices on my naturally frizzy hair (grrrr) so I am always skeptical at first . I tangled my hair up a little the first few curls but after I got the hang of it...easy peasy! I never EVER want my picture on anything. So it should tell you something that I posted this. This picture is the first time I used it. I'm going to get two more for my girls!

Amazing, perfect curls FAST!
I bought this curler and for 3 months I was too scared to try it. I have long hair and read some reviews that said it tangled and ripped their hair out! Eventually, I talked myself up to trying it and am SO GLAD I did!My first step was to read the instructions, which gave me more confidence in understanding a few things. Then, with my hair washed & dried the previous night, I set out to curl it in the morning. Having read that it can tangle long hair especially, I brushed my hair so it was very soft and tangle-free (also with NO hair care products in it!).Then it was time to curl. I plugged it in and it defaults to 370 degrees and was up to temp in less than a MINUTE! Wow! I then grabbed a small section of hair (see my pics) and because my hair is so long, I only wanted to curl 3/4 of the shaft, so I clamped the curler a few inches away from my head...I heard a winding sound of the motor (got nervous) then it stopped - beeped once - beeped once again - beeped once again - and then it let out a fast 3-in-a-row "chirp-type" beeping and I let go of the hair and slowly lowered the curler, revealing my gorgeous curl as I went! Amazing, perfect curls FAST!I did get my hair pinched or tangled inside the machine a few times since using it. It's scary, but the curler started making the winding sound which got slightly higher in pitch until it stopped, beeped repeatedly, and when I released the hair, it was fine, just a little tangled and a warped curl that fell out immediately because it didn't have time to "set" so no worries!TIP: The smaller sections of hair you use, the better the results! Not only will it be less likely to get stuck, but the curl will be stronger. I use a little TreSemme hairspray ( Tresemme Tres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray 11 Oz (3 Pack) ) in mine just AFTER curling and my curls hold all day and are still a little existent the next day :)The hair clips that come with it have hardly any grip and my thin, soft hair slides right out of them, so they have been useless to me. I haven't used the glove or the dropper tool either. In fact, I haven't even messed with the temp settings because the default works great!BIGGEST BENEFIT: For me, other than the extreme time-saving aspect, the best part of this curler is that with my long hair, I don't have to twirl and twirl my wrist trying to wrap all that hair around a barrel curling iron which is near impossible to do without cramping up or getting tangled in hair or the cord, etc. It was such a problem, I stopped curling my hair altogether, UNTIL NOW!Hopefully my review helped you and if so, please click "yes" to let me know. Thank you!

STEPS TO SUCCESS! Read this review for best results!
READ THIS REVIEW before you use the curler.Y'all.....I have the most ridiculously stick-straight, baby fine hair you can imagine. It will not hold a curl no matter what I do or what I use. I've tried everything. I can get it to curl, but within 10 minutes, the curl has fallen out. Until today.... I bought this after looking at a name brand one that had just okay reviews. I figured since this had steam, it would maybe work. I am very uncoordinated and impatient with hair. This did take some patience, but this photo was taken after 2 hours of running errands. I didn't use any product on my hair before or after. I'm far from a professional, but I managed to make my hair look so cute!STEPS FOR SUCCESS:1. Try this on a day when you have some extra time. Be patient and make up your mind that you will do it and finish before you start.2. Read all instructions. Familiarize yourself with the buttons and the direction you should turn the curler.3. Read several reviews on here. You may see some of the same things again and again, but you will find out what did and didn't work for others.4. Add water so that you can use the steam function if you wish.5. When you grab sections of hair, twist slightly where you are going to clamp down to ensure the hair all goes in the same place.6. Know that you are going to have to customize your approach. You will have some pieces that go in incorrectly. DON'T panic! You can simply open the curler and start over. It won't continue to wind if it gets caught.7. Use the clips that come with the curler to section off hair.8. Try variations and find out what amount of heat, time and steam work best on your hair. You can redo any section that isn't the way you want.9. Don't run your fingers through the curl when you first take it out. Gently place it down on top of other hair and allow it to cool before you finger comb.10. When you are finished, hold your head upside down and use your fingers to run them through curls just a few times - gently.Looking at the photo, I can hardly believe that is my hair! It's never looked so good!

Most of the time it works great.
I have fine straight long hair and it's so slick it won't hold a barette, let alone a curl. My first time with this was anti-climactic, and I had a definite learning curve. You can set it to curl left or right. As it is set, it curls away from my face, but I prefer mine to curl towards it, so I set it backwards. Sometimes it sucks in the hair wrong and then it doesn't release the hair easily, which I really hate. I don't want to damage my hair trying to pull it out or, worse, have to cut it. I find using smaller sections goes more easily, but today, my forth day of using it, I had to go over the same strand several times before it stopped getting caught and curled nicely. I wish it had a release button. As far as ease, it is easy and quicker than a wand, and I like the steam. There is a piece of velcro attached to the cord so you can always wrap it up. Included is a glove, and I don't know why. Also, two hair clips, and a big eye dropper to put the water in the device. It looks better the next day, because I'm not into the ringlets and it looks softer. Since my hair is very dry, I use a little oil and define the layers with it.
