This book is so beautifully illustrated and is full of information which is so interesting

Bought as gift for friend. The illustrations are lovely and the accompanying text delightful... The 5 stars are for my friends delighted response to the gift as this book pretty much stands alone in its subject matter.Some of the nests look a bit odd floating alone on an otherwise blank page with no 'background'/natural context. One especially... may have been the house Martins!? I thought at first there had been a printing error as the illustration so abruptly stops in a straight line where the nest ends & presumably the part of a building it would have been built onto would once have started.What is there is lovely nonetheless... & quite 'romantic'... I could unfortunately have contributed nests made almost entirely of plastic waste from the farm I live next to...

A dear friend mentioned this book and was very keen to have a copy. so it made a lovely birthday present. She wasn't disappointed. The illustrations are fabulous, with good information on the nests. This is the only book about birds' nests - and no eggs or nests were harmed in the creation of the book. Brava!

The book is larger than I expected but we’ll written and beautifully illustrated.

This is a fabulous book which has been beautifully presented with excellent photos of birds nests and clue to identification. The notes are simple and informative with just enough information. Perfect present for a birder or anyone interested in nature or the countryside!

I was struck by the beauty of this book in a small bookshop. I bought it for a friend and she and all her family, keen birdwatchers, absolutely love this book. A great gift.

I bought this book for a friend for Christmas It was so lovely I ended up giving a copy to three different people and bought one for myself!It’s amazing how complex some nests can be! And how beautiful some are. It is a sad fact that we mostly ignore the nature and wild life all around us - even for those who do not live out in the country side. I hope this book opens the eyes of many to the wonder all around us.

Outstanding artwork. And it drives the point home for kids about how diverse bird nests can be, function of where the bird lives, what materials it has available, windy / not windy place and so on. A gem of a book.

What a wonderful book. Gorgeous paintings showing the beauty and diversity of nests. The book itself is gorgeous too: the type, paper and design all lovely and understated. This is a great gift for birders, nature-lovers and… anyone, really.

Little to say beyond one of the most stunning books my wife and I have looked at in years. The nest drawings are amazing, text outstanding...a winner at every level.
