I bought this combo for my wife it arrived on time in a box way to long with no packing materials the rod had no protection around the tip and was broken . I returned it and the next one arrived in a smaller box with packing material and the tip bubble wrapped in good condition. My wife has used it and caught some nice slab crappies . The combo seems to be good so far for crappie fishing .

This is a great crappie fishing combo. The rod is very flexible and makes catching crappie fun. The reel is VERY tough. I caught a 36 inch gar on my other combo with the same reel. I thought that the reel would be toast after having the line stripped almost totally off 5 times; but, it is still working fine. The rod is only 6 ft. I would have preferred a little longer rod but the description did not tell you the length of the rod.

Rods were broken when delivered, but returned easily. The reel seemed sturdy and smooth retrieve the little bit I played with it in the kitchen before putting it back in box.
