Mistakes
I just received this 5 days ago and I already see a mistake. On page 1682The citation that is supposed to expand on the image of a Jewish wedding and the practice of checking under the veilIt says Jacob was forced to marry Leah and not his desired wife Rivkah (Rebecca)It’s supposed to be Rachel - Rachel was his desired wife !Rivkah (Rebecca). Is his mother !This is a jokeI wonder how many other mistakes are written by these additional contributorsIt disheartening when you go to this to expand your knowledge and you end up correcting itI may return this and just get the original Complete Jewish Bible by David Stern.

The Complete Jewish Study Bible \0/
When I was reading Romans 6 when I got to verses 20-23 I was hit so deeply and hard in my sprit by the HOLY SPIRIT that I cried. My understanding was so illuminated and finally I truly know what this "GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE" really is and YESHUA the MESSIAH is this "GIFT"; HE is ETERNAL LIFE. HEAVENLY FATHER I thank YOU!! \0/

Test the accuracy of this translation in Mark 7:19
The accuracy of this translation is proven in Mark 7:19. Yeshua is speaking of what comes from our heart but the editor and all the proof readers decided to leave in the gentile added sentence, "Thus he declared all foods ritually clean." First, it is written in both the Tanach and New Covenant that one should not add nor subtract from the Word. Second, I attempted to contact the publishers via FB Messenger and was called everything under the sun except believing sister. I was accused of attacking instead of try to point put an error in hopes it would be corrected. Letters written to the editor, Dr. Stern, and also to the publishers were unanswered. At that point I became convinced this translation is money based not accuracy based. If you are interested in an accurate translation I would suggest one translated from the original languages. I purchased and would suggest a look at the Tree of Life or The Scriptures by ISR. Both I have found to be accurate when compared to Green's Interlinear Bible and other original language books.

The complete Jewish Study Bible, hardcover.
The complete Jewish Study Bible, hardcover, I received a few days ago.It reminds me of a textbook from school. The print is easy to see, with sufficient ink, and the paper is not see through for the most part. The paper isn't sharp white but it isn't newspaper opaque either. The cover is gives the appearance of being slimmer than the book really is so when you open it you're surprised that it is as wide as it is. The hardcover is a beautiful royal blue with white and gold words and leaves. The translation appears the same as the previous version. There are colorful introduction pages for each book which again reminds me of new chapters in a textbook which I enjoy. Each introduction gives an outline of the book. Each book title is also in royal blue as well as the chapter numbers. They have study helps at the bottom of the pages which are generally Jewish tradition knowledge, parables and such which I've never heard. The themes are interesting. The names of God, very much.I have been looking for a larger print NASB that has thick enough paper, or sufficient ink and have had no success. So I decided to try this new study Bible, and I'm very happy with it.Very much indeed.

Modern Day Masterpiece
I am thrilled with this bible! This translation is very easy to read while retaining integrity of content. I find the study notes and background information from the Jewish perspective insightful without being too deep or overwhelming. From the perspective of one who has read through the Bible many times in a variety of translations I consider this gem a modern day masterpiece that hits the mark of communicating effectively and accurately to the audience of our time. I am also pleased with the quality of this beautiful hardcover book. Five stars is selling it short.

I still regard it as my #2 favorite version, most especially because of the marginal notes ...
As a Messianic believer, I have used the New International Version since 1990. I still regard it as my #2 favorite version, most especially because of the marginal notes on NT textual variants. That was how I discovered the falseness of the Comma Johanneum (the passage inserted into 1 John 5). Most especially, noting that it did not occur once in any Greek NT text before the 1400s and apparently crept in from late MS of the Latin Vulgate. However, I felt the study guides in the NIV Study Bibles I have had were very difficult, since the editors continued to propound disgusting false statements about "the Jews"In addition, I have used a Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) since 2009.

"Study Bible" is a good term to describe this book
"Study Bible" is a good term to describe this book. This book literally "studies" the Bible from the historical Jewish context. For the modern day Jewish and Gentile believer, it provides a view into historical Jewish culture and broadens the student's understanding of the times and the land in which the Jews lived and illuminates the use and meaning of words and phrases. The Topical Articles most helpful. They are short commentary on specific themes referencing many Old and New testament scriptures, thereby connecting biblical writings as one continuing story. Very thorough introduction to the Jewishness of scripture. Another thing I greatly appreciate is this Jewish author's unbiased approach to scripture interpretation and commentary, he does not "take sides." He presents information and leaves it with the reader to work out his own salvation in fear and trembling and to "connect the dots."

A MUST BUY BIBLE!
I am a 19 year old man that has been studying the bible for a over a year. I fell in love with Yeshua Jesus and I wanted to read his word, but I couldn’t find an English translation that was accurate and easy to read. It was hard for me to understand many words. But this study bible is truly incredible, it’s easy to understand, restores the authenticity of the bible by bringing the Hebrewic roots of our faith to the front line. Our God is the God of Israel, we have a Jewish messiah, therefore I strongly urge all Christians and Jews to read this bible!! It’s a perfect understanding of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the Brit Hadasha (New Testament). It is super essential when reading the bible to understand the context so that we do not interpret scripture to our own understanding, so the study notes at the bottom helps to provide context of most scriptures and each book has an explanation of the context etc.The bible uses Hebrew words with English pronunciation, but there is a page at the back that tells you what each word means in modern English. It’s such a wonderful bible, I fell in love with it!!Strongly recommend this incredible bible!

MY GO TO bIBLE
I was expecting a little more from this study Bible, not enough cross references and the verses I want notes for are not covered. This translation though, is one of the best I have ever read and much prefer it. As accurate as it can be and the Hebrew names and words, the glossaries, meanings etc; are very good. My go to Bible of choice and I highly recommend.

Heavenly
I absolutely treasure this Bible. After forty five years of different Bibles, I feel as though I have finally got 'home'. I love the commentaries that open up a greater understanding, and make me feel as though I am walking through the Word with a great teacher by my side. I was reading the complete Jewish Bible before so it is not all new to me, but I lost the book recently and this is a wonderful, God-sent replacement.

Meet him here.
Superb, an eye opener. I've always lamented the gentilization of the holy scriptures, not to mention the emphasis on doctrine as opposed to the person of the Messiah
