Hijax Standard Size Stilts for Active Kids (Made-in-America)

Our children ages 9,8 and 6 absolutely love these. We have had them since Christmas and they are one of our most played with toys!!! We walk a mile to school every day and these have made the trip with us a couple of times with the kids trading off along the way. So much fun! My friend has a set for her girls ages 8 and 6 and after a weekend of all the kids waiting in line to try them, we ordered our own set. So happy we did! They are quite sturdy and durable.

My 4' tall twin daughters learned quickly and love their stilts... but after about 10 days the rubber feet on one pair are completely worn down to the metal tube, which have sharp edges that will scratch and cut decks or floors. The stilts should come with caps on the ends of the tubes to increase the surface area inside the rubber feet. Other than that, I'd give the stilts 5 stars.- Now I am looking for replacement feet and a fix for the sharp end on the tube.-7/8/2013I have to revise my review. To my pleasant surprise, I received a free pair of replacement tips and a letter of explanation from the seller Extex Toys, unsolicited. They read my review and responded as a good and responsible business owner might. To correct my previous note, the tubes DO have (plastic) caps on the ends, AND the feet/tips DO have metal washers in the end caps that spread the load across the base of the foot. One of my kids has been dancing, hopping, twirling and doing the can-can on her stilts and she has worn out 2 pairs of tips already (one since I wrote the first review.) Until we find a much larger foot for the stilts (an old shoe?), this quick wear and tear will probably continue to happen. Meanwhile I am impressed by the conscientious response by the seller and would consider buying stock in the company. As for the rest of the stilt construction, they are very sturdy, wont give splinters, and are the envy of my kids' friends. I would buy them again. 4.5 stars!

The rubber on bottom wore out first day, and the metal dented easily.

Bought these for my 3 kids to share a year and a half ago for Christmas. They love them and find them easy to use. Durable enough for my 13 year old and light enough for my small eight year old. The only problem is that the rubber tips wear through, but I have contacted the company and hope to figure out how to replace them.

It shipped super quick during the Christmas season. My son loves these and I'll probably need to get his brother some now that they both are mastering the stilts. Completely sturdy. My son is 111 lbs and they haven't broke. My husband even tried them and 250 lbs. Great product!

My granddaughter had been asking for stilts,so this year we decided she was old enough to handle them. After searching several sites, I chose Amazon, because they always have the best deals on the items I'm looking for. After receiving the stilts, my granddaughter was so happy, and they were perfect for a girl her age and size. She had no problem getting up on them and walking, and all the neighborhood kids now want a pair, too. They were exactly how they were described .... sturdy enough for her weight, and not to tall, so we didn't have to worry about her falling too far :)

I was so pleased -- both with the stilts and with the quality of service. I had made a mistake in ordering -- ordering a standard size and a junior size when I meant to order two standard size stilts. When I contacted the company .. after the stilts had arrived .. the man who called me back on the phone was most helpful. He gave me instructions for sending back the one set .. and he made sure that the replacement set was shipped out right away (to a different address so that it could reach my grandchild by Christmas.) I was very impressed by his kindness and effeciency. The children enjoyed the stilts .. and I had the pleasure of watching them tottering about the livingroom, with the stilts barely missing the large TV screen when the stilts would fly out from under them! (Why do I keep giving my grandchildren toys that make me nervous when they put them to use?) The long and short of my remarks: I think your company in California is doing a great job!

Ordered this online and received it within the time frame they said I would. Very easy to put together according to my husband. They are very sturdy and the kids have been having a blast learning how to use them. I would recommend them to a friend or order them as a gift for someone else.
