but not easy either. I have about 2
After reading the reviews by the guy who says the same thing on all of the Counter Sniper products (you know him....go buy the cheapest Walmart scope....) I thought I would opine as I have owned mine about two years now.First, I am not hard on my equipment, but not easy either. I have about 2,000 rounds down range with this scope and it has held zero. The glass is as clear as my Leupold and Nikon scopes, and the mildot works flawlessly for ranging (it must be used at 4x or the scale is off). The illuminated reticle in green or red is great, but the variable settings are not very drastic and they are not daylight visible, but in dusk or dark, they are crystal clear. My biggest complaint (and a huge...WHAT WAS I THINKING)....was the target turrets. No one has a 300 meter gun and scope with target turrets. They are plastic and the locking knob on my elevation will not stay put. It backs out after 50 rounds. That said, it has not lost zero, so maybe I will just locktight it down.Having my money back (I did get a good deal on this at a gun show....about $200 I think two years ago) I would go to something with flatter turrets. But honestly that is my only criticism. I initially couldn't feel the clicks on the knobs, but I called the company and spoke to the owner (I guess....one horse shop?) and he said the grease may be thick....try running it up and down a few times and sure enough the clicks became more defined.So....It is a lot of features and really good glass as far as clarity and light gathering. Guys look at it at the range and go "target knobs?" and I hang my head a little, but when they look through the scope, they always comment on the clarity and ability to actually read the mil dot scales without it distracting from the target.So.....I will give it a 4. I would go 3.5 because the knobs are a big deal, but I am not uncomfortable with a 4.
