ESV Compact Bible (TruTone, Stone, Branch Design)

Stunning Bible, it looks a lot more beautiful than in the pictures of the ad. The gold coating on the pages is so beautiful, and the leather feels so soft and high quality. The size is so compact and light, perfect for travel. This was such good value for money!

A well presented and tactile edition of the good book. While the type size is small enough to give some difficulty, this is to be expected with the compact design. At a little over 6x4 inches, this edition is small enough to be a consistent companion while being accessible to most. Personally, it's the sweet spot. The ESV translation is both humble and concise, while te faux leather cover feels nice and the gold leaf and stitching are aesthetically pleasing. A wonderful gift. ..even for yourself.

I use this as my church Bible, i love the compact size and I love the feel of the cover.

Very nice bible, with a good quality look and feel. The text is quite small though, so not recommended if you struggle with your eyes.

Yes, as others have stated, this comes with the edges of the pages stuck together due to the gold coloured edging paint. The paper is, obviously, very thin and there is a real risk of tearing them when peeling them apart. The quality of the binding and the compact size is otherwise ok. But the value for money is poor given the stuck pages. Shame really, but I'm returning it.

This bible is perfect for a travel bible! I used it for my traveling bible school and it worked great. The text itself is pretty small, that is something to be aware of before buying. It doesn't leave much room for making notes in the margins. It is small enough to fit in my fanny pack and hike up Mount Sinai with, so if you're looking for a travel bible that you can take with you anywhere, this is the one for you!

I am truly so disappointed. The Bible is beautiful but it’s upside down? I usually wouldn’t mind but I paid $35 for that so it’s not cheap…

This is my second Bible and love the compact size of it. Compared to my big study Bible, it weighs next to nothing and fits in my small purse perfectly. The text size is 6pt which is small (compared to study Bible 8.5pt text) so I did order the same kind of ESV Compact Bible but the large print teal gold foil flower one which is 8pt text to help with my aging eyes. Giving this one to my ten year old daughter. Though I wish the large print one I ordered came in this gorgeous stone color instead of teal, it’s a really pretty grey color and the gold foil details on the cover and spine is everything. The pages are gilded too. The paper quality is what you’d expect, thin tissue like most Bibles but minimum ghosting compared to others. Crossway makes different compact bibles but I did notice the paper quality is better with the gilded Bibles for some reason, the white edge has more ghosting. Overall I love it but did order the larger print version to help my eyes.

Beautiful little Bible, that fits perfectly in my smallish purse. Perfect for travel, and easy enough for me to read. Of course it would be difficult for long amounts of study, but for church, travel, etc., it is the perfect Bible.

This Bible is perfect in every way, I've been looking for a compact sized Bible and this is truly the perfect standard in my mind. The gold patterns and light gray stone tones make this Bible not flashy yet holy and harmonious. I had read the NIV and JKV before this and neither translation struck me as perfect or rigorous, the ESV is the best choice, it maintains the rigor of the original language translation yet is suitable for reading.
