Smart Safe with Bluetooth

DO NOT BUY! Several Issues.......First we have still only received 2 of the 3 we ordered on prime 2-day shipping, but no one can tell us why the other hasn't shipped. Next issue, of the two that arrived one had a door that was terribly misaligned and the other was obviously a return. The safe was scuffed and damaged and missing parts including the key. They corrected the issues and sent new safe so was optimistic because these seem ok BUT we use at remote bases, so when I called Yale to order an additional key to keep at the main office key box they told me they were out of stock???? Even more confusing hadn't told them what the key was even for before they told me they didn't have any. When I pointed this out, they just said "sorry we can't get keys right now"

This is a nice safe in this price range. We have several handguns and normally we have them easily accessible in nightstands, coffee table etc, but when we have out of town guests, gatherings, or repairmen over, we’ve been locking them up in the large basement safe. Not really convenient when you have them for safety. This fits under my bed but allows me to store them safely so no one gets curious and has an accident. Also makes them easily accessible if needed. Also able to store our passports, some cash, and a few other small items. I like that I can use Siri to unlock, but if the HomePod picks up the request instead of my phone, it sends a pop up to my phone. This prevents just anyone from being able to open it with our HomePods. The app made it easy to set up, and after adding it to the Yale app, it prompts if you’d like to add it to HomeKit. Within 5 minutes, I had it set up, with a code, and was good to go. Also added it to Alexa, but that integration isn’t as smooth, it loses that connection sometimes even tho the HomeKit connection remains. Overall I’m quite happy with this Wi-Fi version and think it’s a great investment,

I have mixed feelings about this smart safe from Yale. I love Yale products. I have one of their smart door locks, and it has worked great for me. But when I first saw this safe, I wondered why I would need a safe that is connected to my WiFi network. I finally ordered it because I thought of 2 possible reasons why it might be useful for me: (1) I'm away from home and I want to give someone in my family access to the safe, but I don't want to give them the code for the keypad; (2) I want to be alerted if somebody accesses the safe without my knowledge (Maybe they guessed the code, they found the key, or they just broke it). I plan to keep my most important documents inside (Such as my passport) and also medicines that I wouldn't want my children to have access to. I wish the safe was larger, so that I could use it to store more than just small things like documents or medicines. It would be much more useful to me if it was twice as large. The other thing that bothers me about the safe is that it's not as well-built as I would have hoped for the price. I think a comparable safe like this one without WiFi capability would sell for $50-$100. Adding $200 just for the WiFi features is too much of a markup. For the price they are selling this safe for, it should be larger and also be built like a tank. So that is the reason for my rating. Despite these issues, if you need a safe with these capabilities, I don't think you'll find a better model currently.

I almost gave this a four star review instead of five, but my problem was fixed. This is a nice safe and the Wi-Fi feature with the app is a nice touch. I had trouble with the code getting excepted for my personal code and the bluetooth feature wasn’t working, but called customer service And after getting hung up on the first try, the second person was wonderful. They help me figure it out and reset my system and safe and everything worked out great. My wife was at work and I told her to use her app to open the safe and she was able to open the safe from her work, so it’s nice if you need somebody to get in your safe and you don’t want to give them the code. It’s fairly easy to set up even though I had trouble setting it up. There’s a 10 minute window you have when you put the batteries in and I think that is the key, you have to set everything up in that window. If you don’t you might have to factory reset to get it to work properly , but that being said this is a great safe and I would highly recommend for the price.

Bought this safe and tried for 2 hours to set it up before I finally called yale customer service. The green light on the lock flashed all the time and the safe could be opened and locked again by simply touching the check mark button. Customer service said it was defective. After about 4 or 5 emails asking for photos, videos, and a bunch of other things I simply asked amazon for a replacement. They sent it in 2 days. No it's time to set up the new safe. Does the exact same thing as the other. No way I could have received 2 defective units... so I tried and tried for another 2 and a half hours before I finially broke down and called customer service again. I was on the phone with them for 1 hr and 15 minutes trying to set up the safe. They could not get it to work again. I'm going to try to return this one I don't have a box but hopefully amazon takes back this garbage. I ordered another brand which I should have done in the first place. Avoid this junk at all costs.

Unfortunately, I was told that the safe could be opened overseas with the app by any phone. Sadly, they did not disclose to me that the phone that sets up the safe during initial set up must be beside the safe and on the same wifi network. It cannot be set up remotely with a phone using the UCR code as I was lead to believe. This defeated the purpose of the safe for me so I had to return it.

Received a defective safe with a broken battery compartment cover that won’t pair with the phone, and the wifi hub arrived pre-registered to another user. Contacted Amazon for a replacement or a refund, and they told me the only option is for me to drop off the 13kg safe myself to a Puralator location that is more than 7Km away, so it’s now my problem that their item is defective. Very bad experience
