what are the dimensions of the plate that fits this?

Further to my original question about stiff panning. I have loosened the knob to the point of unscrewing altogether! It doesn't make any difference?

Would this fit on to a k&f concept tripod? or vanguard?

I purchased this item and found the friction of the panning to be very tight and stiff - am I doing anything wrong?
