Doesn’t work on your standard campground picnic table, the clamp doesn’t open wide enough, on a thinner table it might tilt too much if you put too much weight. Doesn’t work with your standard Coleman lantern because is too heavy but it does fine with lighter lights which I have. Staking it on the ground is not that tall and the ground needs to be soft or it might damage it, luckily the ground was not rocky and was soft from previous rain when I took it camping. I can use it on the sand by the beach thus I’m keeping it.

I love this stand! You can use 1, 2 or 3 sections to achieve different heights. You can attach with the clamp, or stick the spike in a hole. It is light weight and very portable. I always bring it on our night hikes for the potluck party!

Does not hold together well. Does not grip well. The stake isn’t long enough to get a good hold into the ground. Short when attempting to stake it to the ground. Attempted to use it for camp lighting. Not ideal. Couldn’t get it to grip to any ledge.
