Absolutely the best solar powered lights for the money. My Paradise Solar Lights arrived well packaged with no damage. Over the years I have spent hundreds of dollars purchasing plastic solar light sets at the big box stores only to have to replace them every two years due to breakage of the plastic tops, lens and post. These lights are larger in size, constructed of metal, except the plastic spikes, heavy glass globes and a nice gunmetal color. The LED lights are a bright cool white in color and project a nice split light pattern across my walkway. I've read several reviews with complaints about the plastic spikes breaking. Simply replace the spikes with 1" diameter pipe cut to 13" in length, drive into the ground 8" using a 2x4 wood block and hammer. I also used a line string along the distance of my walkway, divided the distance for 6 lights evenly along my walkway, 2 lights at my front step and used a level vertical on each pipe to assure the lights are straight. The advantages of using pipe are creating a solid, stable base for the post to slide over, will withstand a garden hose pulled across them, we've all done that before, and will withstand weed eater damage. I plan to purchase another set of these lights for my deck area. Get these lights, see my photos, enjoy!

Bummer. These basically don't work. On some nights, half or them (or more) don't even turn on. And on "good nights", they only last for a couple hours. They certainly aren't still shining around midnight when I would like to be able to use my steps without killing myself.I thought it might be the batteries, so I bought some high-quality pre-charged rechargeables to replace the ones that come with them. Alas, no improvement.I see other reviewers who love them. My best guess is that they live in very sunny climates, and maybe have only tested them during the spring or summer. I have placed them so they get full sunlight. But I'm in New England and it's November. It's also possible that the cold temperatures make the lights less efficient.Although they are described as "decorative", they clearly put out enough light to make a walkway safe. When they work.

Excellent product for the price. We bought this set of lights after looking at several others in June both online and in the box stores. The lights arrived well packaged and we put them to use right away. They look as good as they work, love the glass shades. Every night they come on and stay on until morning light. They are well made and are holding up well in the hot sun and elements so far. Right after we purchased these my husband accidentally tripped over one and broke it off at the ground where the plastic stake goes into the ground. We looked all around for replacement stakes in the box stores and online, but were not able to find any at a reasonable price. So, we finally contacted the manufacturer directly, Paradise Lights, and told them what happened and asked them if we could buy just a new stake from them. They said yes, of course, but how about we send you a replacement stake out for free? We said sure that would be great! So, within a a couple weeks (they are in Canada) they sent us a new stake free of charge and we put the broken light back to use! It is now good a new. We were very impressed with how this company helped us out even though we bought the product through Amazon! We will be back to buy again from this company! I purchased these lights October 2014. We're good for a month or so then realized batteries did not last that long, so I replaced them with better lasting batteries but once we got rainstorms afterwards lights started to intermittently not work. Come to find out water was leaking in from the top somehow. I used silicone to seal up around the solar panel top and this helped a little but it was too late most of them were damaged from the water leaking in, corrosion set in around the LEDs and it didn't take long before they started to crap out. I wish they would look into fixing this issue for further consumers. Not sure why they raise the price on this product if they know these lights have issues or maybe they have fixed these issues since last year. Nevertheless this was my experience with this product.

When I opened the package, I was very impressed with the weight and sturdiness of these lights. The glass shade is unusual and very nice. I put them all in direct sunlight as directed, but only 5 of the eight work. Three refuse to work no matter what I do. One of the three flickers if rattled just so, but won't stay on. The five that work give off a lot of light and stay lit all night long. I would love to add more of these lights to my yard, but I don't want to just get five for the price of eight.*UPDATE - the company advises these are out of stock, so I cannot exchange my faulty lights. Not sure how to return 3/8 of an Amazon order.
