EDIT5: 10/13/25 (Almost 2 years later) This will likely be my last edit for this mouse. Absolutely purchase this if you want a purely silent mouse with no fancy bells and whistles. It gets the job done and it gets it done WELL. After 2 years, I will say the mouse has started to show signs of actual wear and tear, which I'm sure could be fixed with a little effort/maintenance, but for how inexpensive it really is ($10-$20), I would just buy a new one. I've been playing Overwatch2 with this, Path of Exile, Final Fantasy 14, Hades 2, City Skylines and pretty much every other genre and have had no issues (except having more buttons in an MMORPG is always great!). Just buy it, you really can't go wrong! EDIT4: 5/31/25 (17 months later) - Middle mouse button (pressing the wheel down) is starting to miss a few clicks. I suspect it's just dirty and I need to clean it out, but I do use the button quite heavily so it may also just be wearing down. For the price and how much I use it, I can't really complain EDIT3: 2/22/25 (14 months later) - Finally changed the battery it came with after mouse indicated to. This is 14 months after purchase with, I would estimate, 10-12 hours of daily use! EDIT2: 2/6/25 (14 months later) - The mouse is still going, same as my last review! Batteries still haven't been changed, nothing really to note - no performance drops, no double button presses, no broken mouse wheel, etc. Still an absolute 10/10 purchase! EDIT: 10/12/24 (10 months later) - This mouse is still going strong! I haven't changed the battery yet, everything continues to function perfectly. The mouse wheel has lost some of it's quietness, but unless you're hitting a 1000 RPM scroll session, the noise is still not audible past a foot or so in the dead of night. I'm sure you could easily lube the wheel if desired. Still a 10/10, this is the silent mouse for you! This mouse is a testament to the ingenuity of man. I've tried "silent" mice in the past and have never found anything that didn't still leave a pretty audible click in the middle of the night, so call me a skeptic. This mouse though - this is the real deal. There is no click, there is only a slight tap which you definitely can't hear from across a room, let alone 2 feet from you. The wireless works flawlessly, and the receiver tucks right into the mouse from the bottom (with the battery). It's a simple plug-and-play. The packaging is extremely easy to open, you just slide the cover from the bottom of the mouse, remove the received and plug it into your computer, slide the mouse to On, and you're all set! The battery itself seems to last forever; I've used the mouse for an entire month almost thus far, daily for 12+ hours and the battery is still going (Logitech claims 2 years!). The mouse itself has an auto-shutoff features that kicks in pretty fast after inactivity, but there is no pause or wake-up time afterwards; it continues to function flawlessly and immediately after going to sleep compared to other mice that need to reboot and reconnect for a few seconds before being able to be used. The only caveat I can say about the battery is that it doesn't fit in super snugly, and if you're someone who lifts their mouse a lot to move it around, the mouse may stutter as the battery shifts. I solved this problem by sticking a small piece of cardboard between the cover and battery. The mouse is also smaller than your average gaming mouse, but it's extremely comfortable. The ergonomics are impeccable, and the mouse feels constantly cool to the touch. There is no hand fatigue from using the mouse for long periods of time. There are grooves on the sides of the mouse for your thumb to grip, no sliding around. The scroll wheel works smoothly and is also silent - even quieter than the left and right clicks. There are no other buttons (side buttons, DPI swap, etc). There is no input lag, and I've played plenty of competitive FPS matches with this mouse and have never noticed an issue (aside from the battery stuttering I fixed). All in all, if you need a silent mouse, look no further. For the price, the quiet and quality are unbeatable, and it knocks multiple, more expensive mice out of the water. Logitech!

I like this mouse mainly because of how comfortable it is. It fits nicely in my palm and has a good grip for daily use. The simple design with no extra buttons is actually a plus for me since there’s no accidental clicking. The scroll wheel is smooth, and the silent feature makes it great for working without noise. Battery life is solid—it only needs one AA and lasts a long time. The weight feels balanced, which makes it easy to control. I’ve used it for everything from graphic work and photo editing to coding, Office tasks, and even light gaming. Tried many others before, but this one stands out as my favorite for everyday use.

Today's mice try to do it all, and thus have many buttons and settings. That makes sense if you use a mouse for "real work" as well as gaming, but for those of us who are minimalist and need a wireless mouse to simply BE a get-it-done mouse, those do-it-all mice are overkill (and overly expensive). If this describes your need--a mouse that does the simple mouse functions--this mouse is perfect. It has only two buttons and a scroll wheel (which is a third button). No extraneous buttons in the thumb-rest, no choices to make. It is very comfortable with a very "grippy" textured rubber surface that gives it a very secure feel in the fingers, especially for finer movements. (The arch might be a little low and not sit right in your palm if you have larger hands.) And, as the name implies, the buttons are very quiet when depressed; just a soft tap sound. Another blessing (for minimalists like me) is that it is NOT a Bluetooth mouse. It uses a very small USB dongle and the wireless connection is very solid. Unlike with Bluetooth (BT), there is no lag in transmission (which sometimes occurs), or interference with other BT devices or weirdness getting the BT to connect. Absolutely, some people need BT, particularly if they want to use the device on more than one device. And, it is true you tie up a USB port, but often a good keyboard will have an extra one or two USB slots, and/or there are USB hubs. (The major drawback would be if you used this with a computer such as the newer MacBooks that only have type C ports. Then, you would need an adapter for the USB A style dongle, which becomes unwieldy. In that scenario, a BT wireless mouse is better.) LogiTech claims a batter life of two years. If by chance I'm still around and remember, I'll update this post in two years and let you know! But at the low price of this mouse (less than twenty at time of purchase in 2019) even if the entire device only lasts two years, it's a bargain. In sum, if you need a wireless right-handed USB (not BT) mouse with nothing more than basic functions that feels great, is very quiet, and is at a bargain price, look no further.

This is a great little mouse. It is completely silent and has a nice click to it. It is on the small side but would definitely recommend.

This mouse is a great choice for users who are looking for something simple, durable, and relatively quiet. However, it has a number of issues that can be frustrating depending on how you intend to use it: - The clicks on this mouse are practically inaudible, but it has a surprisingly loud scroll wheel for a mouse that is designed to be silent. This is easy to modify, but it can be annoying if you want a completely silent mouse right out of the box. - How loud the clicks are increase over time. For example, the clicks are ~1.5x - 2x louder after a year of using it for 8-10 hours/day on business days. This was relatively consistent across the 3 versions of this mouse I've owned, but mileage may vary depending on how much you use it. - The newer versions of this mouse are also sold with a wireless dongle that does not appear in the device list in Logitech Options (the driver software), making it impossible to update basic settings such as the sensitivity, assign hotkeys, or update firmware when needed. Because it's impossible to transfer the device's dongle without the original dongle first being detected in the driver software, this issue does not seem to have a working solution and yet it has been known to exist for months now. - The mouse lacks any additional click buttons other than the main left & right clicks and the click within the scroll wheel. These are features that you may not be expecting in a $20 mouse, but these buttons are available on tons of cheaper mice models from other brands. - This mouse can be much more difficult to clean when compared to a more standard office mouse design due to the small, triangle patterns etched into the handgrips that accumulate extra dirt/grime. For the positives: - The durability of these mice is fantastic. I swap out this mouse for my workstation every 18-24 months and not a single one has shown a real sign of degradation (such as double clicking/having to click twice, etc.) during that time. - The battery life is about as good as advertised, even for power users. - With some small modifications to the click actuators and the scroll wheel, this mouse is fairly easy to make truly silent. - Build quality is above average in most regards, and even though the grips are plastic, they don't feel cheap or fragile.

I was using an HP mouse that looks similar, but the clicker would drive me nuts. That constant clicking which was loud and annoying over time was the reason I sought this mouse out. I use my PC all day for my e-bay business and for watching my free movies & tv series online. When I first pushed the left button, I thought it didn't work because there was no sound, but it works fast, smooth and ninja quiet. Some folks don't even know that when you press on the top wheel it lets you scroll downward at your own speed just by dragging/pulling the mouse towards yourself. I would highly recommend this mouse for the young and old alike, and especially for people who have arthritis.

I needed a mouse that was quiet and this did the job. The scrolling and clicking buttons are way better than other models not annoying while working. Compatibility with all my PCs, great battery life, looks great and stable.

I wanted a mouse specializing in two features: (1) quiet and (2) big. I am using the mouse primarily for the purpose of playing a few classic computer games. Those games require a high amount of clicking, and therefore I wanted a quiet mouse! This mouse delivers on that feature. It is practically silent. Basically the sound you hear is just quiet confirmation that you've clicked. I also had positive experience with using a big mouse from Logitech in the past. The bigger size gives you easier control of the mouse. It is more comfortable and less taxing on your wrist. This mouse as not as big as the 10-year-ish old model of the MX Master I used to own and my dog proceeded to destroy in puppyhood. However, this mouse is bigger than your "average" mouse. I am happy with the size. Any smaller I'd be disappointed with the size. Those were my two primary features of interest and Logitech delivered. This mouse does not have buttons that integrate with web browsing or multi-tasking. There is a quiet scroller. Other features: - I like the design on the mouse grip. It is subtle and modern. I chose the Silver color to match my MacBook Air. - I purchased this item at $20. My research of the mouse market suggests cost goes up as you want more buttons on the mouse that you can use for web browsing and multi-tasking. You would consider a model like the MX Master in that case, which those can get up to $60. If you don't need that additional functionality, and you want a quiet and comfortable mouse for recreational use, then I highly recommend this model. By all means, the MX Master was a great product in my experience, but I need that convenience of button integration on the mouse. - Came in durable packaging that was 'frustration free packaging' vs a lot of those hard plastic casings you come across. - Battery included. Between that and the frustration free packaging, those two things were small value-adds that made the product experience a little more enjoyable and convenient. Logitech makes durable, effective, and attractive products in my experience. My experience with the old MX Master model was excellent. I have a wireless logitech keyboard and basic wireless mouse (similar to this one with the exception that it does not have quiet clicking). Now, I have this mouse for home recreation use. I rarely feel like I have to change batteries with their products. They have my business for life until I have reasons otherwise.

Pros- 1. It's a normal sized mouse unlike the mini mouse and sub-size mouse sold at a lower cost. For folks with above average sized hands this is perfect 2. Its relatively lighter than other wireless mice I have used, but not too significant for anyone to sense 3. It runs only on 1 AA battery unlike few other mouse which need AAA or even 2 batteries! 4. The much advertised silent click is really silent. You barely here it click in a silent room too. So folks who sit in an air conditioned room or library which has ambient silence then this is the best mouse to use! Scrolling is silent too BTW! 5. The On-off switch is relatively bigger than some models like B170 etc. So its easier to turn it off and on. Additionally the switch glides over a red and green background which is a good visual indicator of the status of the mouse. Small lesser known feature but is very useful! (Check pic) 6. Another lesser known feature not talked about and not available in some mice is space to store the nano receiver when not connected to any laptop. This is helpful when you want to carry the mouse and the receiver together without the risk of loosing the nano receiver! 7. The mouse works on any flat surface without need of mouse pad. It doesn't work on glass though. But I personally use a 3M mouse pad which provides cushioning to the hand (My review of 3M mouse pad is available on Amazon) Con- 1. The one thing which I have never seen but indefinitely want with a premium mouse is a mouse case. This is not available with any mouse even if you buy a 5k worth mouse and I wonder why. Am still using a logitech mouse cover which came with one of the logitech mouse I bought in the US a decade back (check pic). What will it take for manufacturers to realize that a need for such mouse cover exists in the market?! 2. Warranty of only 1 year!! I have experienced that only if you are lucky does the mouse last you more than 2 yrs :(

Bought a few other cheaper fake/clone mice which don't perform well - saw this on sale and grabbed one. You can get cheaper genuine Logitech mice (M121 $16 on sale, or the M221 w silent clicks) but this combines both key features - larger than the M221 so it feels better in the hand and w silent clicks. Will be throwing away my fake M330s (super light, bad sensor), and probably swapping it w my M221 for work use. Only wish it was on their Unified USB dongle, but at this price point can't complain
