Yes, use it when you & the cats are not in the home. It works in 4-6 hours, after which you will need to air out the treated area.

Q: Can my baby use this product a lot?

I would recommend Leggos or a swing set for your baby rather than this.

Q: Could this be used to get the musty smell out of an old piano?

I'm not sure if the smell will work for the piano, but I used this for a molded room, which cut the smell for about a month.
