I did a lot of research before ordering this awesome tumbler. I bought this tumbler at full price - I mean no discounts! So let me give you my truly impartial verdict.The STR Tumbler is well-insulated. It does not sweat on the outside nor does it get very cold to the touch, both indicators of a good and efficient air-gap insulating the contents.They use insulated and air-sealed lids, which makes it spill proof. So, if you are looking to keep ice from melting for 24 - 36 hours in anything over 80deg-F, you’ve made the best decision with this tumbler.That said, I did have ice tea with ice cubes in it even after a seven-hour drive despite making a few long stops where the inside of the car got very hot.Having used these for a few days now, I am very happy with them. I will buy a handle for them, but that will just be for convenience. You can easily hold them without a handle.Some of the competitors come with handles and only one lid . . . but you pay more for them than buying this mug and a separate handle.Note: some offer "free" steel straws. Aside how bad an idea that is, remember that nothing is free.HERE’s MY VERDICT: I would recommend this amazing tumbler as an alternative to anyone who is looking to spend twice the amount for some of the "name brand" 30-oz tumblers.One more comment. . . I tried my coffee on it and it stayed piping hot for 8 - 9 hours. Mind you this was just a test, normally I wouldn’t leave my coffee for that long.So I would say it is correctly listed as usable for both cold and hot drinks. Perhaps because the lids are air tight. …Finally it’s stylishly made with nice colors.Overall a GREAT BUY!

I wanted a large mouth thermos that would fit in the cup holder of my car. This is perfect. I love the color and construction. The reviews show how long the ice lasts and this is my experience also -- stays cold a lllooonnnggg time! If the thermos is laid on it's side, it will leak slightly through the sipping lid -- so beware to carry it upright in your backpack. The box said, do not put in the dishwasher ... which I didn't read until after I put the lid in the dishwasher. :-( DON'T PUT THE LID IN THE DISHWASHER!! Even though the gasket was OK, the slider no longer worked correctly. It wouldn't stay open or closed and it whistled when I took a sip. I contacted the company and they replaced the lid at half price. Pretty awesome considering it was really my fault. Caution, the lid came in a package that said "Dishwasher Safe" -- but this is not true!! Communication and support from this company has been OUTSTANDING and easy. Wow. I wish all companies supported like this!

I am a bit of a purple fanatic and I know I am not alone.I have owned several of these double walled stainless steel tumblers. I never purchased the original high priced brand but I have tried several others. The cheapest one I ever purchased was under $10. While there have been some minor differences among them, they all work about the same. Ice lasts and hot beverages remain hot.Stainless steel can get a bit boring though. I will continue to use those for outdoor activities as the finish is almost indestructible.I bought this purple one for use in the office. I am also very picky about my purples. I don't like lilac, lavender, plum or any variation of those. I prefer a deep, dark, intense royal purple. These folks know what a true intense purple is. It is perfect.

I'm in awe over this cup. I've searched for so long and spent so much money on cups trying to find the one that would keep my drinks cold all day. As soon as I received my cup, I immediately filled it with ice and my drink. I refilled numerous times through the day and even once before bed and the ice is still in there from yesterday when I received the cup. I'm so amazed and so happy that I could wake up and not have a watered down drink! It was cold and perfect. It doesn't sweat and the outside isn't cold, but the inside is perfect. I'm an ice water fanatic, and can finish a tumbler this size in a 2-hour drive, or over a night's sleep. (Yes, I wake up alot during the night.) I've been living for years with room-temperature water after about 1AM, but my STROITS tumbler was loaded last night at 9PM, and the ice hasn't even THOUGHT about melting yet. Now I just have to learn the perfect ice-to-water ratio over the next few nights, and I'll be happily hydrated.I originally bought this as I'm having surgery in a few weeks, and wanted something to keep by my bedside for the 4-6 weeks I'll be in slow recovery. I'm sure my caretaker will love it as much, without my constant whining for water like a 3 year old.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my STR tumbler! Not only does the picture nail the true color, but I tested it out by leaving it in my hot car (yes, it was warm in AZ, yesterday) for 3 hours and the ice had barely melted! Needless to say, my drink was still ice cold! I refilled it later and the ice is still in it this morning, and AGAIN--my drink is still ICE COLD! And--as presented in their information; there was no condensation on the outside of the cup! I intend to purchase several more of these as gifts!

This seemed like a really good product the first few weeks. As time went by the red covering started to peel away form the top edge. I still use this, but I have had to put tape around the upper lip to keep the coating from peeling any further. Eventually I will just peel off all of it, as it does keep drinks really cold, but it seems like it should have lasted longer. I would only buy one of these again if it didn't have the colored coating.

I purchased this tumbler in 2 colors based on previous reviews. However, I am disappointed in the tumbler. It does keep ice frozen and drinks cold for a good 24 hours at least in my test in my home. However after only 2 hours the very hot coffee was only lukewarm. I will keep the tumblers to use for cold drinks when on trips or out on the boat; but since I am a big coffee and hot tea drinker, I am very unhappy that they don't keep my hot drinks hot. For this reason I would not recommend this tumbler. I will say though that delivery was very quick and products arrived in good condition.
