Made it work for GoPro as well
I ordered this covert case, intending to use it for a GoPro. I was aware that it was not designed for the GoPro but a quick review of the images that have been posted, showed me that it would likely work, and the cost was certainly right! I cut and removed the plastic piece where the Nest camera was to go, and found that once removed I could easily fashion an insert to hold the GoPro. I used some old closed cell foam and it worked perfectly. I mounted the GoPro upside down so as to locate the charge port on the side closest to the clock so that I could hook it up to the supplied USB cable. A small adapter was required to solve the mini vs micro USB port issue, but also very easy to do. This would be a much better product if the manufacturer were to remove the plastic from inside and sell it with either the choice of or both sets of foam inserts to allow for its use with the GoPro's, Nest, or any Camera that would fit inside. But with a little DIY, it worked out great! I utilized a GoPro Hero 3

Works for Yi Home Camera. Not an Alarm Clock. Only Clock. Buy Your Own Wall Plug Converter.
Used this to house my Yi Home camera. The hole diameter for the camera location in the clock is a bit larger than the Yi camera, but I used double sided sticky tape at 4 places around the edge and that held the camera in place. Also I had to wiggle some of the power cord through the back panel grommet to get the cable to lay flat and the back cover to close (cover is held by magnets)....Easy....The video does show up in black and white due to the dark plastic front panel of the clock, but it still is good to use, night or day. IR light and camera light must be turned off so it is not seen through the front panel. This item is not an alarm clock. It is just a clock. Inside the box has 2 buttons to set the time. It also has a battery so if you unplug it, it keeps the time running in the background even though it does not display the time when unplugged (convenient feature). The power cable is a micro USB, with a micro USB to USB converter. It does not come with a converter for a wall plug. You will have to buy that yourself.
