Solid construction, does not feel cheap
I avoid snakes when I can but sometimes they get into my garden. I mainly have rat snakes. I feel totally secure using this device to catch and move them. This stick is built well. A steel cable operates the articulated part. The gripper holds very firm with minimal force. I put my finger in the gripper part and it hurt but didn't crush my finger. I was also not able to remove my finger until I released the handle. I also have rattlesnakes on my property and I don't plan on using this for them but for all other snakes here in Colorado, this thing is awesome. It really does work and gives you enough distance.

Really a great tool
This is a very well built tool. Stainless steel construction including air craft steel cable actuating the jaw. The jaw is well built and easy to scoop under anything you wish to pick up. Will make handling snakes an easy chore. Easily picked up a five pound dumbbell without bowing the tool at all. Grip strength is outstanding. Definitely recommend

Haven't used yet - but I love this thing
Very cool snake handler. Flashlight is crap - didn't hold up long at all. But basically I love this thing.

The flash Light does not connect tight to the pole, but the Grabber works OK
