Our favorite travel mug
My husband and I each have one of these and we both love them (his is black, mine is purple). They are nice and big, but still fit in the cupholder in his truck and my car. They keep our coffee hot all morning. My very favorite feature is that we put them in the top rack of our dishwasher each night and they're ready to go in the morning (the mug doesn't claim to be dishwasher safe, but we've been putting them in the dishwasher for about 6 months and they are still in perfect condition). The top comes apart easily for cleaning (we put both top parts in the dishwasher too). We haven't had any problems with leakage. They are a little top heavy and will leak when tipped over, but I've never seen a mug that didn't spill when on its side. I'm amazed that the price is so low for these. They really are a great product.

My favorite coffee holder
I bought this because my bubba I bought 12 years ago at heb was in constant use. My old bubba was still working, but never got enough time off for a proper cleaning. So far this works identical to the old one, and since that lasted 12 years and it still works but is now the backup if I get 12 years out of the new one it will have beyond paid for itself. It does not insulate as well as a yeti, but this thing takes a beating, it has been at a transmission shop the whole time, dropped, thrown when I got mad, and maybe dropped about 6000 times inbetwen the other drops. This is rugged and a perfect addition for a coffee drinker who needs a travel mug or works a rugged job outside a desk and needs a cup that can take a beating over keeping the coffee the hottest longest.

10 Stars
Do Bubbas' kick butt? Of course they do. This product does! Go figure. It is well insulated with more than an empty air-space, it is a sprayed closed cell insulation (I looked it up) and can keep my stuff at temp well beyond my expectations. I'm wanting a Bubba Jug. They need to start the Bubba Home Insulation Corp. Your bills would go to practically zero if they used the same insulation / spray. This is much to say about a mug. I know. Lastly, however, the top on it is snug, so much so you'd never, even after months or years of use, have a leak onto your shirt in the morning before you get to work. We've all been through that. Get it.

Doesn't keep coffee hot
Well made mug, nice size, price was reasonable but I'm so disappointed in the amount of time it keeps my coffee hot. The search for the perfect mug continues.

Leakproof? No. But Otherwise Adequate.
Is it a mug? Yes. But with this particular mug, I've learned that, unless the manufacturer specifically claims that it's leakproof, you shouldn't expect it to be.The actual lid doesn't leak. It actually seals the liquids inside perfectly. However, the top part houses a twistable opening, revealing a hole for you to drink from. This part leaks liquid quite easily; in fact, enough so that you have to almost always be carrying this upright like a cup.Which leads to the part of the review where I explain how this is quite literally just a giant, glorified cup that's somewhat adequate at slowing leaks from the top opening. So why four stars? Well, it's not getting the fifth because it's not leakproof at the top. But it's getting the other four because a giant cup is what I was looking for. It's also sturdy. I've dropped it a couple of times on concrete already, and it's only been marked with a few scratches: no dents to be found. I've also found that, when dropped with it full of liquid, the lid will stay sealed. So it won't explode on the ground if it accidentally falls.I'm going to assume that Bubba's intention to make the twistable lid easily cleanable was what caused them to make the tradeoff with it being leakproof. The lid itself can be taken apart easily to handwash with a simple "pop" of a handle inside.I don't run into many problems as I only drink cold water from this. Just be aware that this "mug" isn't going to be useful for carrying around hot liquids (e.g., coffee).

Nearly perfect
I discovered over time that if you drink your coffee with sugar/creamer, vacuum tops or other types of mugs that don't allow for cleaning get gunked up with disgusting bacteria and throwing that away is better than cleaning it. These mugs are nearly perfect. Easy clean tops are awesome. My only wishes would be options to not have a handle and for the drinking cover to be able to be turned the other direction in order to open. Other than that, it is the best mug that I've found for coffee with the use of cream/sugar.

Lid leaks due to design.
The top lid, as others have said, tends to leak the liquid out due to the design. Keep this in mind if you buy it. I was walking around campus with a 3/4 full cup of coffee. I didn't realize I had it held at a slight angle. Just from the walking and sloshing of the liquids against the lid, it leaked out of the top and dripped over the side from being slightly tilted. One bouncy car ride through a parking lot will result in liquid pooling on the top of the lid. I wouldn't buy this again. It does hold both hot and cold liquids. It does keep the temperature warm/cold for a decent amount of time. It is pretty big. The whole lid thing just makes it not a winner.

Perfect for Keurig B45 K cup brewer.
I have purchased three of these mugs from Amazon. The Bubba travel mug just fits within my Keurig B45 when the drip tray is removed from the brewer. Several varieties of K Cups are too strong for my taste when I run 7 or even 9 ounces of water through the pod. But the coffee tastes better to me if I run an additional 5 ounces of water through the same K cup. The 20 ounce mug easily holds the 14 ounces of coffee, and keeps it warm a good long time. The instructions warn to not wash the mug and lid in a dishwasher, but I have had no problems as I never use the heated drying cycle. I removed from each lid (and do not use) the rotating "spill proof" disc.
