I haven't used a toner since my acne-riddled teenage years (Proactive for the win) and really didn't see a point in starting something I wasn't necessarily missing. At 25 with pretty oily skin, an occasional pimple here and there, and someone who is delving into the world of cruelty-free beauty products, I thought I would give this a whirl and see what taking better care of my skin would do for me.One thing I remember vividly from my former toner days was the sting!!! It didn't help that I had really bad acne, but I was totally expecting to deal with the astringent-feel once again. To my VERY pleasant surprise, this toner has ZERO sting. It smells lovely...totally natural and like soft essential oils - not over powering. My boyfriend comments on how nice my face smells (weirdo) after use.I've been using this product daily for the last couple months with the BWC A.H.A. Face Wash and BWC Daily Face Lotion with SPF and can honestly say, as strange as it sounds, my face friggin GLOWS. Like I said, I have oily skin so it's definitely not that kind of glow ;) but there really is just a healthy evenness all over my face and I am in shock...I never thought I would try a beauty product that makes that kind of impact on my skin. The bottle is also pretty large, and I don't even think I've hit the halfway mark. I use very little on a cotton pad and dab/wipe all over my face and neck.GREAT product, but what did you expect from BWC?

I am 42 years old and I have been using this product for over 6 years now and it's absolutely the best toner I have ever used. I still love it!I have a long history working in the high end beauty industry and I have used everything out there. What many people don't understand is to truly hydrate their skin, it's more important to use a liquid moisture that can hydrate down to the base layer than to only slather the surface with richer creams (Although both textures are important). While this is labelled as a toner- I refer to it as a liquid moisturizer and my cream is a moisture sealant because that's in essence is what they are doing. Regardless of what you call it though- BWC Balancing toner instantly softens my skin after the shower and allows me to use half the amount of lotion than I normally would. Because it has been hydrating my skin properly I no longer get oily or shiny throughout the day. The instructions state to apply a small amount to a cotton and swipe on the face but my personal preference is to simply squeeze the desired amount in the palm of my hand and massage into my skin- then I wait a moment and apply a small amount of moisture cream on top. Done.

Nice subtle scent. Leaves my skin soft and supple.

Great hydration tone. Drawback, it does not come with a spray cap (at least mine didn't.) Comes with a flip top and since I'm a believer in spraying a toner on your skin and letting it dry rather than rubbing it into your skin (your poor skin gets rubbed enough) I was a little disappointed. However, pouring it into a spray bottle fixes the problem and all is well.Has a "essential oil" smell which I enjoy. Can't put my finger on what the scent actually is, granted it probably tells you on the bottle but I've already thrown it out.

I am really liking BWC products. So far, I have only tried this toner (which is lovely!) and the Vitamin C moisturizer but both are good, quality products with pleasant scents, based on essential oils, instead of artificial perfumes. This has become a new permanent fixture in my skin care products.

I've only been using this product for a week so far. I wanted to replace the L'oreal Hydrafresh Toner I've been using for years, with a cruelty-free, vegan product. The liquid leaves my face feeling very fresh and I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that I am aware it is there. The tingling only lasts a minute and then goes away. I'm happy with this product and will continue using it. I certainly won't go back to using a product by a company that tests on animals and/or uses animals in their products.

I really like this toner. It is light and non-irritating and leaves my skin feeling very clean, smooth and moisturized. After washing my face I use the toner with a lint free cotton cleansing pad. It seems to remove any traces of leftover dirt, make up and oil. The only problem I had in my two weeks plus of use is that twice I developed a small pimple on my forehead. The pimple went away fast, left no scarring and I haven't had any other adverse reactions. I will be ordering again.
