GREENFIELD 2116-RD PVC Coated Anchor Chain, Red, 5/16" x 5'

I have been boating my whole life but rarely dropped anchor. Lately, I have been anchoring, tying up with friends and just floating. In the past, I never used an anchor chain but noticed that it could be a little difficult to get the anchor to catch (I use an 8 lb. Danforth anchor for a 21' 4,000 lb. boat). I installed this chain and noticed an immediate difference. I dropped the anchor, reversed about 10 yards and it caught immediately. I was surprised at how tight and secure it was. I remained in place for about 5-6 hours with no adjustment necessary. Pulling up was a breeze. I thought maybe it was beginner's luck, but same results the next 3 times I used it. The PVC coating is excellent and will provide good protection. If you do not have a chain or are looking to replace one, I could not recommend this product highly enough.

This is a great product, I'm only giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because it took three times to get to me correctly. I had to send back 2 PWC anchors that were sent by mistake. They fixed it, but not after a lot of wasted time with the wrong items.

Works great at doing what it's supposed to do, lays down my fluke anchor so it can grab the river bottom. It is a little stiff, but that's the way a coated chain is going to be. Less money than buying it in store and I didn't even have to get out of my chair. Amazon's good for that.

Nice bright red color. Heavy layer of PVC coating looks durable and yet allows some flexibility of the chain. Works really well for added weight for my anchor system and looks great too! I f I needed more would definitely purchase again.

I had a blue boat and a blue anchor chain, but traded the boat for a red one. Now I needed to match the red, so I got this chain. It matches perfectly and I love it!!!
