Kopa Haiku Antifungal Cream, Anti-Itch Cream for Face & Body, Athletes Foot, Ringworm, Eczema, Jock Itch, Quickly Relieves Itching, More Gentle and Safe

I have been prescribed Daktacort to tackle the sweat rash that I frequently get during hot weather or when exercising. Unfortunately, this needs to be kept refrigerated, so is no good to take on holiday (the prescription cost is also not inconsiderable). I thought I would try this cream, but honestly wasn't expecting much from it as it isn't a prescription item so doesn't have the hydrocortisone in it that the prescribed cream has (I think you can also get it over the counter in smaller tubes, but the sale needs to be OKed by a pharmacist).This cream is very thick and spreads well, so you really don't need much of it. It smells a little bit odd, if I'm honest: certainly not unpleasant, but it definitely smells of herbs or medicine rather than like a cosmetic. It gives a slightly cool sensation on the skin, which feels nice. I was pretty gobsmacked that it worked, if I'm honest, but it really did. I applied it last thing at night and the redness, irritation and itching was pretty much gone the morning after. I haven't used it on broken skin and I'm not sure how safe that would be, but that's not unusual. I've tried it a couple of times since with the same result: a genuinely surprising effectiveness.The glass jar is a bit heavy, so I have decanted it into a plastic jar for travel. It comes in a cardboard box with a little leaflet with some information. The pot also has an little plastic cover under the screw-top lid, and it feels pretty secure - if I wasn't travelling I would have left it in the glass jar. I would usually be a bit wary of "herbs" as you feel there's a risk of it being like snake oil and doing absolutely nothing, but this concoction is THE BOMB!

I bought this, without expecting very much, to try to treat a dry itchy skin condition which I'd previously been prescribed a combined antifungal & steroid cream for (with only partial success). I've tried all sorts of creams with varying levels of effectiveness but none had worked really well, and I bought this on a bit of a whim as a last ditch attempt before making another doctors appointment.The first couple of times I used it, it did sting a bit, but nothing too intolerable, and after using it several times I noticed that my skin was healing. After about a week it had almost completely gone!It smells OK, kind of like the sort of lotion an old lady might use but with a slightly "fusty" herbal smell (which is to be expected with a product based on traditional herbal medicine).Having investigated the ingredients, the herbs are all things widely used in TCM and some other herbal traditions to treat skin conditions and most have antifungal/antimicrobial or anti-inflammatory properties, with some scientific evidence supporting these uses, so I can see why it might work. Another review mentioned the "chemicals" in it, and claims that one of them is banned in the EU. I looked into this and could find no evidence supporting their claims. Triethanolamine is a relatively common ingredient in cosmetics, and is an emulsifier and surfactant (it basically helps thicken the cream and stops it separating), and Chlorhexidine Acetate is a disinfectant commonly used to sterilise the skin before surgery and for a number of other medical & dental uses. Presumably this helps to keep the cream sterile, and probably also contributes to its active effects by killing bacteria and fungus on the skin. I have attached a picture of the ingredients from the packaging in case anyone wants to look into them themselves.

This cream has so far worked wonders on my 2 year old daughters skin,I’ve mentioned her age in case others are curious if it’s safe to use on young children as personally weve had no issues whatsoever but obviously each to their own,This cream has worked miracles to be honest, all the prescription creams doctors have prescribed for her skin haven’t worked her skin has deteriorated further an further,but this has worked and I’m honestly so happy with the results,my daughter suffers with excema and this cream was recommended by a friend and boy am I glad she recommended it! I will continue to use this cream and hopefully fingers crossed with the way the cream is working so far her skin will clear completely!so don’t let the wording athletes foot ect on the cream put you off trying this for things like excema because even with recommendations from a friend it nearly did to me and I really would of regretted not trying this for my daughters skin because she wouldn’t be having the final relief she has and deserves now.The only downside is the size of the pot and no other sizing options available from this brand like I want a bigger pot like yesterday.

I bought this because of the reviews. I have to say it worked for me, within days the rash and dark spot was gone. I just gave it to a friend to try and she likes it.

Brilliant cream ,I use it for numerous things. Works on rashes bites etc. Wish they did a bigger jar

This cream is incredible. Works where others failed. No burning. Just rub it in (pretty much anywhere on the skin surface). Done.

For jock rash or chafing. Lovely cooling feeling. Could not recommend more

Another waste of money, thought i would try it as it has good reviews, did absolutely nothing for jock itch, useless
