Love Them, But There Was a Learning Curve
I need earplugs for sleeping. Thank goodness for these! They are the answer I have been looking for, for many years. It must be that I have fairly small ear canals. Foam earplugs hurt my ears, because of the pressure. Not only that, but the softer, newer-style foam ones cause my ear canals to get crusty, scabby, red and itchy.Moldable silicone-putty earplugs, while comfortable to wear once in, do require initial squishing into place, which is uncomfortable. And, they are sticky. Yes, they are supposed to be sticky, but I wake up in the morning with my hair glued to them, or them glued into my hair — sometimes at the back of my head. It’s like trying to get gum out of my hair without being late for work or just chopping off my hair. Stressful!Plus, the silicone-putty ones make my ear canals so wet, when they do stay in overnight (instead of pulling out and sticking to the back of my head) that a Lilliputian could swim in them! My ears feel soupy wet. It’s just my own perspiration, of course, so I tell myself not to be grossed out. And I know that silicone-putty earplugs are not designed for overnight use. So, it’s not the fault of the silicone putty; it’s my fault for wearing them more hours than the manufacturer intended. But I’ve always worried I could end up with a fungal infection like Swimmer’s Ear.Even so, the moldable silicone earplugs have been my go-to for about two years. When I went to reorder them from Amazon, I happened to notice these new earplugs, and ordered them. They come in two sizes, both packed into a single gift box, to ensure the customer can get the right fit. Naturally, I washed and tried on the smaller pair. Oh, my! It was a good thing I had some time on my hands! It was like a Circus at first, trying to figure out how to put these in!The earplugs are shaped like an apostrophe or comma, so that was my first attempted orientation. But that was upside down. Then I got them in, but they weren’t blocking sound. Good thing there was a picture in the product description of a model wearing them! The tail of the comma needs to point toward the eyes, not the back of the head. I had them pointing to the back of my head, which meant they were in the wrong ears.So I switched them around and tried to put them in the correct ears. But one of them hurt terribly, while the other was comfortable. Goodness! What was I doing wrong?Well, it turned out the cone shape is oval when you squeeze it. Very clever! This makes the earplugs fit beautifully when you have the oval matching your ear canal’s oval — and hurt like crazy if you have it going the other direction. So, here’s the scoop: Use your opposite hand to squeeze and insert the earplug into your ear. First make sure you have the tail pointed forward. (That’s important.) Then, the Right hand puts the earplug into the Left ear, and vice versa. The other hand doesn’t need to do anything; no pulling up your ear is necessary. Just use the one hand to slide the earplug into the opposite ear. That’s it! Just finish settling the earplugs in, to get your desired sound blockage, and you’re good to go.As for sound blockage, these mute sound enough that I can hear people talking, but not quite discern their words. If I stand next to a fan or loud clock, I can still hear those sounds, but they are muted. My husband’s new CPAP machine for sleeping is much, much quieter than his old one. (Was there a technology innovation? I cannot believe how much quieter this new one is!) With these new earplugs, I cannot hear the new CPAP at all. With the old CPAP, I think I would have been able to hear it, but it would have been greatly muted, enough for me to sleep. That was the case with foam and silicone-putty earplugs. I would say these new ones work at least as well. How well these new earplugs would work on an airplane or subway, I cannot say. However, I think they would at least make the noise more tolerable and less harmful. For heavy construction or pistol range use, or for complete silence, you would want something else. But for most noises, these are perfectly adequate.Sadly, I have not found anyone in my family to take the larger-size earplugs that came with mine. The men in the family tried to put them in their ears, and felt the learning curve wasn’t worth the bother. They like their foam earplugs just fine. I guess you have to be fed up with all other options to go to the bother, but I absolutely love these earplugs. One last note: After each use, rinse these earplugs thoroughly with water, while the earwax is still soft. Shake after rinsing and set them on a towel to air-dry.

Comfortable, but not the best blockers
The good:The are pretty comfortable. You get 2 sets in different sizes, so you can find the better fit.The we low profile (don't stick out of your ear), very easy to put and remove and are great for side sleepers.I can sleep an entire night with them without feeling pain or pressure in my ears. The bad:They are not the best in sound blocking. They are OK for mild noises like birds or cars outside your windows, but nothing more than that.

Expensive, but worth it IMO
I sleep on my side, so if you do, you know how much wearing earplugs can hurt and just fall out your ear while you sleep. So there were basically my last hope. You get two sizes and the case is pretty oversized. The smaller ones didn’t fit, but luckily the larger ones were perfect1. They fit, but weren’t tight and irritable.2. They don’t make your ears sweat3. Even tho the fit was good, it just reduces the noise around you (but for me it works. I didn’t hear my neighbors like usual, or the snow plow outside)So basically, don’t expect it make everything perfectly quiet. It’s reduces things by 60%. So if you getting this for a snoring spouse, it might not work completely, but will greatly help. In either case you won’t find better earplugs if you sleep on your side.

Doesn’t block sound
I tried Loop brand ear plugs first which the noise cancellation was pretty decent but not super comfortable to sleep in. This brand is very comfortable but it just sounds like I have my hands over my ears. Also when I pulled one out some material was peeling off which has me worried there can be some material stuck in my ear.

On to something here
I wanted to love these. I tried them last night but they kept waking me up. My ears would hurt on each ear in the middle of the night. One side would hurt so I would roll over to the other. The only people I see loving these are the people that sleep on their back. If they made these more comfy I would give it a 5 star. I give it a 1 star because it gave me no benefit wearing them because of the pain they caused.

Got these for blocking my upstairs neighbors
I got these for blocking my upstairs neighbors stomping and kids running when I’m sleeping. The noise is really loud and obnoxious. These bad boys cancel most of that unless it sounds like they’re throwing bowling balls up there, but yes they work most of the time. You hear your own breathing which at first creeped me out but now I find it relaxing and it helps to block out sound even more. They’re pretty comfortable too, I can wear them all night and I’m a side sleeper. If I wear them too long then it bothers a bit and I can’t wait to take them out. Also comes with 2 pairs, I wear the smaller.

Perfect if your partner snores
I needed these desperately because my husband snores so bad. It would keep me awake and I never got a full nights rest. I finally caved and ordered these and I slept like a baby. They fit comfortably in your ear. They do not stick all night if you move around. There were several instances where I had to put one back in, but I was able to go right back to sleep. I would recommend these.

Great noise cancelation, mediocre comfort
So, I have noisy neighbors. There have been times at night that they play their music rather loudly until 4 o'clock in the morning. As they are some shady people, I don't think it's safe to approach them in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning to turn down their music and I refuse to call the police for a noise complaint, so hunting for ear plugs that work was my other option. After much searching and reading reviews, I settled on this set. I liked that they are made primarily from silicon and that it came with two pairs, so I could use the pair that fit best. I have pretty small ears and the smallest pair does fit. They work well to cancel out the music and yet somehow allow me to hear my alarm if I put it right next to my head. My only complaint is that they are a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. I sleep with my ear directly against the pillow, I don't sleep on my stomach or back. But, I am willing to deal with a bit of discomfort over noisy neighbors, at least I can sleep. I hope this review helped and happy shopping!
