Really useless and incredibly disappointing. Firstly this is an Amazon published book, if you saw it in the flesh you would never buy it. It's cover is almost totally plain white, nothing on the back...NOTHING ON THE SPINE...and a rubbish cut and paste job on the front. My new mantra is now, never buy a book with a blank spine, it will be rubbish and resemble a phone book in quality. The photos are small and grainy. The print is tiny, so if you're thinking a nice gift for an older person, unless you supply magnifying goggles they won't be able to read it. This may actually be a blessing, it is just a fairly random collection of cut and pasted info from elsewhere. There is no cohesion and no single voice in the writing. I could go on and on but have wasted enough of my life on this rubbish already. I recommend you move on and save your time and money.

I happen to like these brief bios on the lives of actors from bygone days for picking up interesting trivia, finding movies they starred in that I might like to arrange to view as well as for the genuine photos provided. Book has an active table of contents so you can use the handy link to choose any of the ten individuals in the order you prefer which is a definite plus. It's easy enough to read about some favorites such as Jimmy Stewart, James Cagney and Charlie Chaplin to equal the price if purchased separately and then go on to other good reads about the likes of Clark Gable, Henry Fonda and Marlon Brando to more than make your money back . The entire set averages out to only $1 per film star which was all good by me , and have to say I did enjoy learning about the lives that each of these individuals lived!

Another great book from Charles River Editors. Very informative with all the highlights of their lives. I like where I don't have to real a five-hundred page book to get the same information about the person. Keep these Charles River Books coming. Recommend one hundred percent.

The print is a soft gray and very small making reading this book a challenge.

I loved the depth of the stories. The detail they went in to and the people they covered. Humphrey bogart was my my favorite part
