Changed out the shift cables because my old ones were pretty worn out, and these work great!! And cost a fraction of what some other cables cost! The white looks good and made out of solid material and function great. Not sticking or hard to pull at all!!

Cable quality and sheathing quality is great. I really bought this kit just for the brake lines, sheathing and the shifter cable sheathing.If you have a bike that mostly has the cable inside sheathing, or travels internally through the frame, then you are going to come up short on at least the brake cable sheathing/housing. I had to go to a local shop and buy 4 feet to finish a rebuild project.

I liked that this set wasn't too expensive and came in different colors besides black. The kit gives you everything you need to change out your cables. There was some break in stretch on the brake cables but nothing major.

As others have said housing (outer cable) is short. Working on older kids mountain bike with frozen shift cables. This bike has a continuous cable going from handlebar shifter to both front and rear derailleurs. Had to use both included cables for the repair. Would have enough for front brake but not rear brake so I left them alone. This would be fine for a bike with standoffs where bare cable shows one down tubes and horizontal bar. If this kit had an extre foot it would have been perfect, was past return window so never assume is the thought here.

Great kit, includes the wire cable housing for shifting and the spiral housing for brakes, often they just give you the spiral brake housing is not ideal for constant pressureIn addition to that this kit gives you a bounty of ferrules to chose from to finish the cables, small ones, wider, even those old metal ones.Very happy and the price works for me!

It took two tries to get a kit with no defects, but the second kit is quite nice. One of the shifter cables in my first order had a strand that was not correctly wound, producing a noticeable bump on about 4" cable. The replacement that I requested did not have any obvious defects in any of the parts, and the kit contained all of the parts that should be there.The cables are strong and have a small amount of stretch after they are installed, but nothing extreme. The housing is well made and can be cut with a good set of cable cutters. The plastic ferrules seem to be well made and the silver ferrules appear to be some sort of chrome-plated metal, perhaps the copper that is mentioned in the description. They are not aluminum, which is good because I've had problems with aluminum ferrules corroding and bonding with steel in a way that makes the entire assembly unusable. These should not have that issue.Overall, it appears to be a good kit for the price. Just be sure to check all of the parts when you receive it to ensure none are defective.
