Great range, easy setup
These work great. Took a chance and sprayed with some water displacement spray and no issues on my gates outside. Work perfect. No issues with batteries so far and zwave pairing was easy and install was easy, they have screw mount or adhesive mount option, I used the screw option. Shipped fast. Great value for the money.

Pretty good as a simple sensor
It is a standard window/door sensor that works with a matching magnetic strip. It appears to be a Z-Wave+ device.Vera2 had to be updated with a beta firmware .673.Vera3 had to be updated with a beta firmware .673 or use UI7.It has a tamper notification as well.Pros: The price is right -- only about $20/each The case is simple to open. Most Z-Wave devices are difficult to change batteries, so this is a big plus.Cons: No pin connectors on the circuit board for connection to external sensor -- if you do that kind of thing Apparently no device options. It would have been nice to be able to disable the red LED light and to prevent multiple state transitions within a short period of time. The best door/window sensor is still https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2QAR8C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1because of its flexible programming

After device handler update sensor works on Smartthings
**Update 2** 5 stars now working great. I have 4 of these now. Review below was my experience. After a device handler update from the enchanted team the device seems to be working correctly. After a few months the sensors stopped reporting open and closed and would only detect motion eliminating the automation apps. I posted to smartthings forum and have 2 people with the same issue. Customer Service was great once they finally saw their was an issue. Future reference Amazon question worked almost instantly compared to smartthings forum. Batteries are at 85% after 8 months which seems crazy. Love the aaa batteries. I will order these again since they are so reasonably priced and may go back to 5 stars if they continue to work.

Great sensor.
Excellent door sensor. Z-wave+Pros: Works well. LED Light indicates when it is transmitting. Uses common AAA batteries which are cheap and easy to maintain. Relatively cheapCons: A little wide so it may not fit all locations. Needs to be manually configured on the vera and shows up as two devices on UI7: A motion sensor and a door sensor as a child device. Can configure the motion sensor back into a door sensor but the main device automatically untrips after 10s while the child device trips/untrips properly. I am suspecting that it is due to the tamper alarm capability on this sensor confusing the Vera.Overall does what it is supposed to do very well.

works fine and its cheap!!!
It works nice on vera....it shows at 2 devices, but the door/window sensor works as expected.its a big fat.....would be much better if it could be thinner...better looking and easier fit.Still is a nice item for the price...and works on regular cheap batteries!!!

Great price and reliable sensor
Works well for me. Put it on my front door and linked it up to smart things hub (v3). Had no issues whatsoever and was getting correct notifications in no time. I dont remember having to update any firmware so maybe the Samsung Smart Things hub's updates already knows how to connect now.

Small potatoes
Priced right and works well. I have a mixed sensor system, just trying to find what I like best. Different battery types between mfrs may be bothersome in the future but that's small potatoes.
