I've been teaching for 5 years now. Last year I kept the lights off and only used my icicle lights, but this year the fire marshal made me take them down. :s I knew I had to do something, so I found these fire resistant shades and wrote a grant to get them. They say not to iron them, but I couldn't stand the creases! I ironed them and they came out beautiful!!They are PERFECT!! They dim the harsh fluorescent lights and have a wonderfully calming affect on my students! My co-worker got a set as well and she no longer is suffering from the daily headaches the fluorescent lighting was causing her. She also mentioned that she noticed how much quieter the students have been since she installed them.I wish I could just use my icicle lights, but this is the next best thing! I love them!

My school switched switched to a very bright blue light bulb to use in our classroom fixtures. It looked like we were being beamed aboard an alien spaceship! I don't get migraines, but this gave me a headache within minutes every day. (I tried wearing sunglasses, but could not see my computer screen.) The school did not have enough money to order light covers/shades, so I took matters into my own hands. These particular covers are flame retardant and have a nice, tranquil design on them. There is enough tan color in the pattern to counteract the obnoxiously bright output of the new light bulbs. Also, the magnets hold them up quite well. (Click on the center magnets on both sides first and work your way to one end of the light, then to the other end. Once you get the hang of it, they go up quickly. I had 12 to cover.) These covers are a bit overpriced, but do the job well!

My work changed out office lights for super bright LED lights and these are great for making it not so bright. The magnets are not very good though so I had to buy my own to hold it up

Our office staff was so happy with these beautiful covers. They installed easily and changed the whole look of the room. We love how much calmer our office feels and have had so many compliments on them.

I love these light covers. I teach special education and I have some students who are light sensitive. These helped tremendously and my own student says his eyes do not hurt anymore. They help with headaches for this busy teacher. I recommend them.They are easy to put on and the stay! The magnets are really strong.

Bought them for work because I was getting daily headaches. As soon as my boss arrives he switches on the lights and minutes later my head is throbbing. Bought these but was skeptical anyway I asked my talk coworker to installed one above my desk and wow what a difference. It dims my area headache free this week!

Love the print of the beach. However, I was disappointed it was one print, not four like in the picture.I would like the magnets to have been a little stronger, it was a challenge to hang them because if you got one side, then the magnets fell down on the other side. So it took a while. It does help reduce the fluorescent lights.

These are super easy to install. Enough light gets through but eliminates the harshness of the florescent lights...love the beach scenes

These are perfect in my office - creating a calming atmosphere and blocking all the yuck and glare from the fluorescent light, now I just need to convince the company to buy them for the rest of the office. Definitely worth the money where I only need three in my office!

Made my headaches go away

These make the classroom and office light less bright and more appeasing. The softer light helps with headaches and give the room a calmer feel.

Bought these hoping to use them in the classroom to reduce eye strain/headaches from glaring fluorescent lights. Put them up to test them and they work GREAT. Eliminate the glare and pain without making the room look dark or dimmed. Just soften the light comfortably. Unfortunately… the school will not allow me to put them up in my classroom because the shades don’t have CSA approval, and they can’t accept the safety information included in the package. These would be a perfect solution if only they were CSA approved in Canada :(

I put these on the light and there was no difference at all. In fact seemed a little worse.
