This vacuum hose has a thicker wall thickness than the small selection of vacuum hose now available in local auto parts store. Local auto parts stores used to have bulk vacuum hose available, bought by the foot any length, good to excellent quality. Now the local auto parts stores only carry 2 foot sections pre-packaged of low quality thin wall thickness, that collapses easily. You know were that's coming from.The AC Performance Silicone Vacuum Tubing Hose will easily handle the 20 in HG which translates to roughly 9.82 PSI that my AMC 258 produces in my 1979 Jeep CJ5. Who knows how long it will last, it is NOT DRY out of the box, so it should have some good life in it. I am in the Sonoran Desert, vacuum hose does not have a long life no matter what brand. Though, I think this brand will have a good life span despite the high heat extreme conditions of desert rock crawling at 120+ degrees Fahrenheit.

The Tial Blow Off Valve requires 1/4" ID diameter vacuum line. When I bought it I didn't have any and couldn't find anything locally except for fuel line which I didn't want to use. So I just used some smaller vacuum line I had laying around as a temporary solution. The BOV was not very responsive. i could hear the delay when letting off the throttle. I replaced it with this and the response is instant now.

It said this product was good to use for going from my CPAP to my SoClean machine...WRONG. I have a ResMed AirSense 10, and the water chamber has a little piece of plastic where you connect the hose that goes to the SoClean machine. The inside diameter of this hose is literally the size of a needle; you're not going to get this hose over anything bigger than the tip of a ballpoint pen. Was really upset I had to send it back.Oh, and one more thing, IT SMELLS HORRIBLE. There was an overwhelming odor when I opened up the package, and sure enough it smelled like it came from China...oh wait, that's because it did!

I used this hose to replaced old cracked vacuum hoses in my project truck - 1985 K10 Chevy. It was a pleasure to work with this hose. Cuts like butter, bends really nice without kinking... will wait and see how it will perform in the heat, dust and dirt....Slips on the fittings very tight providing secure and tight seal.

before i can review this hose adequately i will need to install it on my '59 cadillac.. before i can rate the durability and sturdiness i'll need to use the car for another 60 years..so far it looks good and looks like it will fit and replace the dried out existing 60 year old hose..
