Excellent buy
The firecuda 530 came recommend from various sources, it was great value when I purchased the 2tb version, I purchased the ssd to expand the storage on a ps5, I have easily installed the ssd into the playstation, its read and write speeds are as advertised and works great in the ps5, I haven't had any heat or overheating issues, it moved games from ps5 memory to the ssd in seconds and the games load as quick if not quicker than the ps5 built in memory .I definitely recommend the firecuda 530, it's great value, with the 3 years back up for data recovery from Seagate, it's a win.

Turbocharged Gaming Bliss – Seagate FireCuda 530 Delivers
I had an external HDD and recently upgraded my PS5 storage with the Seagate FireCuda 530, 2TB, and I am beyond impressed with its performance. Installing games and accessing data has never been smoother..The speed is mind-blowing, significantly reducing load times and ensuring seamless gameplay. The 2TB capacity provides ample space for my expanding game library, and the fact that it's designed specifically for the PS5 means optimal compatibility and performance.Installation was a breeze, simply follow the instructions as provided with the SSD.. Five stars without a doubt!

Super Speedy PS5
Did a lot of research on which m.2 ssd to buy (WD Black/Samsung/Firecuda) benchmark testing, PS5 only videos, and installed this particular drive in my ps5 for faster game loads.. the ssd i bought was the firecuda 1Tb version with heatsink - very simple to install.Turned off and unplugged ps5. slide the lid/casing off the bottom of the ps5. Unscrew the ssd casing. position the screw and washer they provide down 1 notch to the 80mm mark and gently inserted the drive, hearing the click as the ssd drive slots in.Then proceeded to turn on the ps5, which prompted me to format the usb drive… taking a few seconds to format and eventually giving a read speed of 6538.91MB/s as shown in the image - which is to be expected as i think ps5 bottlenecks this read speed around this value. Having a look at reviews of other ssd brands other customers have bought and reviewed.. they all seem to cap out at this 6500MB/s speed so i am very happy the SSD arrived on time (1 day delivery cos gamer), and is performing as expected.Transferred Destiny 2 and Godfall ~103GB of data from the console storage to this m.2 SSD drive (go to an app, and press options -> move game data) - this took about 1 minute.. to transfer 100GB of data!! incredibly fast. One thing i did not expect however was that my LAN cable was Disconnected during this data transfer - i did have to switch my ps5 off an on again as this seemed to bug out my lan connection entirely. So I deleted the current Wired Lan profile, restarted my PS5, and then set up my network connection again which fixed the issue - but this i suspect was possibly an intended software feature on Sony's end. I would advise maybe disconnecting any LAN cables during data transfers to mitigate thisI didn't test any Thermal production of the ssd drive however, as i didn't have the tools to do so but from reading around this ssd drive with heatsink is the way to go, custom heatsinks offer ~15-20ºC reduction in cooling, however the drive with heatsink can get anywhere from ~20-30ºC reliably.Loaded up Destiny 2 and everything was loading noticeabley faster than game storage - from title screen to loading into a game environment was very quick. Would recommend.

Excellent value, great performance and stability
I had been considered an SSD for the ps5 due to forever having to remove games. I was going to go 1Tb but then reconsidered when prices started to fall. When this was back in stock and on offer, the 2Tb was purchased (0% over 5 months was also available which was also good)The device was signed for and well packed.Fitting was simple - I did watch a YouTube video to see how to remove the side panel on the ps5 as I hadn’t done it before. The drive was so easy to fit and when the side was replaced and the ps5 turned on, it was identified and formatted with expected speeds for the ps5.I’ve transferred games to it from the internal storage, I’ve installed games to it directly, I’ve played games from it. All have worked as expected.Do I notice any difference in terms of speed versus the standard storage - no…..it may be quicker, it may be slower but I’m not really bothered about 1 or 2 seconds either way, why I bought this was the storage and it has done it faultlessly.Worth buying a recognised and trusted name - I have seen other emerging brands that I have not seen before, but prefer to pay a small premium for the peace of mind of an established player in the market
