The fabric is heavy enough for the skirt to "fall" as you are putting it on. The bed part is lightly padded, no tac downs. I may put a few stitches in to hold batting in place before I wash. I am purchasing a twin textured blanket to layer on top. The pics make it look slightly pinkish, in real life it is just a perfect neutral color. It is a great quality product for the price point. I am very happy and satisfied with this purchase.
