Trees of Eastern North America

A bit too heavy for regular field use, but useful for research purposes and studying! Nice cover, not sure how long this would last with regular travel as it's not hard-cover. Time will tell, but I am very likely to use this a lot in my studies!

As a resource for identifying trees, this will do the job, but this is not a small or light book, which might make it difficult to use as a field guide. It's quite heavy and 2 inches thick, over 700 pages. There are hand painted images, not pictures, in case that is important to know. This is definitely going to be a great, helpful desk resource but probably not going into the field.

was looking online for a tree that was a tough one to identify. Got this book and found that it was a rare aspen tree :)

Best reference book I have seen but a bit bulky and heavy as a pocket guide....
