Best upgrade for Harris bipods
This upgrade was a must in my opinion after trying it on a friends bipod. I have it on two now.

If you have a Harris Bipod, YOU NEED THIS THING and the real thing, not a knock off!
Why Harris does not build their bipods with device like this I do not understand! They could add it to production for much less money than it cost you and I to purchase one and put it on. They could charge a little more, make a little more and save you a little at the same time! Anyway, anyone that has a Harris knows they are made to cant. They have a knurled nob that you are supposed to be able to use to increase tension and lesson the ability to cant so easy. Once the bipod is connected to the rifle just getting to the knob is a problem not to mention, you can not turn the thing with the bare hand enough to really control the cant! The Pod Loc is the answer! It works 100% and cures your woes! It could not be easier to install. They say you need a 1/4 inch socket but you do not! If you have (even a cheep) screwdriver that is made to accept different bits you will find, most likely, the female side of the screwdriver is, 1/4 inch. You just back out the nut as the directions show, being very careful to have your finger on the backside of the assembly so all won't fall out (and that is easy also) and you thread up the Pod Loc. YOU ARE DONE! You can now get leverage with just your fingers that works! Also, once you have it set like you like it, if the little handle is not in a place you wish or like, NO PROBLEM. You just pull back on the handle which is spring loaded and you can then move the handle to any position you wish without changing the tension. I do give this warning. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THE CHEEP KNOCK OFFS! They are plastic and they break! So bite the bullet and get something that works and does not break. Highly recommended and shame on Harris for not making this a standard part!

Do you need one?
It is a locking handle that controls the swivel of the popular Harris bipod. It replaces some less obvious screw. It is easy to install, and there's an instruction. This is something you see people recommend to get when you are getting the bipod. It is not cheap at all considering that it is such a simple item. My only issue with it is that I've never got to use it since installing. I guess it is because I only shoot on a range and never unlock the swivel. But that is the question you need to ask yourself, do you actually need it?

Works Like The Proverbial Charm!!
Installation was a breeze. 3 minutes tops. You do need a 1/4" socket to remove the retaining nut on the original adjustment knob. Once installed, the swivel feature on the Harris bipod is MUCH easier to adjust. The desired swivel friction can be set in seconds and the lever can be positioned up and out of the way if needed. It's a great addition to the Harris "S" series bipods. The Pod Loc should be a standard feature on these bipods IMHO.

The Original
I have tried every other "Pod Lock" out there for my Harris Bipods and nothing compares to this original. All the others broke within a year. The original is a much better design. Don't waste your time buying the knock off's. My favorite feature is being able to tailor the locking orientation of the lever to what suits me.

Transforms the Harris bipod
The standard knob on most bipods is not very user friendly. It's impossible to get enough leverage to tighten them all the way, and this results in the bipod tilting when you don't want it to. This solves that issue. I highly recommend it.
