Freedom From Lyme Disease
HI, The first 100 pages/end chapter and through out there are disclaimers. He repeats himself many times...1/2 of book may not be needed..could condense it down to less pages. He says to retry treatments again later. They may work again once cycling through different treatments/help and getting rid of biofilm or Lyme cysts. Supplements are not temporary for me. Most Lyme people maybe Celiac and may always need supplements even after Lyme. Antibiotics may lower Mg and B vitamins. Supplements are awesome help and no side effects. He mentions things he read from other sources. I don't agree with him about supplements. I agree healing is like an onion...but I figured out Celiac diet/thyroid medicine/bioidentical hormones/LDN/Vit B12 methylcobalamin shot/supplements before I got Lyme which makes it alot easier than trying to figure all this out at the same time. He gives diet help..from others...Paleo/Celiac diet. Paleo is no grains. Celiac diet may have hidden gluten so no grains may help even more. Gluten is wheat/barley/rye...oats may act like gluten with avenin. V8 juice may not be as healthy as juicing your own vegetables and cooking cruciferous family..maybe making a soup of those.Gluten may hurt all glands..thyroid/pancreas/adrenals. Lyme made my blood sugar go up. Lyme etc may also hurt the glands. I had to eat more often to help with adrenal fatigue, but eating sugar may cause blood sugar to go up/down and crash and glycation. No sugar may help..then mitochondria are not weakened. The last 10% of healing maybe what I did first...Celiac help etc that I mentioned which other people may not have gotten ahead of time before getting Lyme.I would not go camping like he did....too many chances of getting Lyme again. Walking in the sunlight may help. I like to swim even though I run out of energy to do it. I hoped the Cl in the pool would help kill Lyme etc..I have not tried the Rife machine yet and it is expensive to buy. I know two people who own one. The Rife machine is when the Lyme are not in cysts. Eating before doing it may get the Lyme active. Far Infrared Sauna may help kill Lyme and detox the body. Serrapeptase/EDTA may help eat up Ca in Lyme cysts. Nonstop antibiotics may hurt..no chance for body to recover and probiotic to work. I was almost 100% constipated for more than 7 months due to the probiotics. I like herbals better. Zinc is great help for thyroid/energy/keeping the body working right/healing. Zinc gave me 5X more energy when I got out of the hospital that didn't let me have zinc or any of my supplements due to Conventional thinking. I do EDTA/DMPS IV chelations once month to remove heavy metals...is awesome help and may help remove Ca in Lyme cysts and the sulfur may help detox/kill Lyme. Hair tests show good minerals/heavy metals. Zinc is needed before detoxing since detoxing removes zinc and other good minerals. Zinc is needed for many chemical reactions. Mg maybe needed for 350 chemical reactions. I don't agree with him about zinc and detoxing. I take 50mg of zinc since I detox. Too much zinc may lower copper, but I have not had that happen. Most people have heavy metals in them and Celiac people's liver may not work well to detox heavy metals and more. Never take Copper without zinc..can take zinc without copper. 2000mg of fish oil stopped my colds/flu for more than 20 years and is awesome help for the brain/immune system. Diflucan has F which may block thyroid, but help with yeast. Instead ...Oil of oregano or garlic and later dairy free probiobtic may help. Now brand- Detox Support, Far Infra red Sauna, Vit C, glutathione, drinking more water, more green vegetables may help. LDN is awesome help and A L complex. Hyperbaric..may need 40 treatments minus weekends for it to help. Lyme books should be about $20..not more. This book was not worth a higher price in my opinion except for him to say treatments may help again in the future so don't panic. It may not be resistance, but biofilm/cysts and order of help gotten.Celiac peole may catch Lyme easier and be harder to get rid of it. Celiac diet/vitamins and good oils/LDN/detoxing and more may help the immune system and make it easier to get rid of Lyme. Most Celiac people don't know about Celiac and very few get help. Tests may not work to diagnose Celiac. Stopping Celiac help may let the Lyme grow more. Celiac is for life...needs to always get this help to be ok. Vit B12 methylcobalamin shot daily may help heal the brain/body.Celiac help may help Lyme and much more. What I do:No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO and vitamins/good oils, LDN and detoxing help me. Vit D3 5000IU, zinc 50mg if detoxing, fish oil 2000mg, 20000mg of evening primrose oil. 2000 mg of lecithin, Phosphatidylserine/DMAE or krill oil, Coenzyme Q10, Rhodiola, Mg citrate 400mg, Vit C, 5000mcg of biotin, Nature's Plus- Source of life multiple, HCl and enzymes with meals, dairy free probiotic, Vit B12 methylcobalamin shot/spray/under the tongue kind/intrinsic factor kind, MTHF folate, coenyzme Q10, rhodiola, may help brain/body/thyroid/ and more health issues. Gluten is wheat/barley/rye..oats may act like gluten with avenin. GMO corn/soy/canola oil may hurt. Amour thyroid maybe needed since gluten may made antibodies to the thyroid.Sunlight (helps the immune system and helps to heal the gut lining),exercise, organic food, good water..not tap water, cooking by scratch pure food, no food in a box/bag/premade/label/restaurant which may help avoid hidden gluten. Nuts not sold in the shell/meat basting/some spices may have hidden gluten and lotion/make up etc. One restaurant cooks special for me...rice/veg/tea/extra mushrooms (no meat since the woks may have MSG/gluten in them).EDTA/DMPS IV chelations from an Alternative doctor, 600mg of cilantro, zeolites, organic sulfur, Now brand- Detox support and more may help detox. Hair tests show good minerals and heavy metals. Heavy metals can block thyroid and other chemical reactions in the body/brain.LDN may help block hidden gluten, but the Celiac diet is still needed. 100% no gluten..no hidden or microscopic gluten may help. Cutting back on gluten or cheating by eating gluten hurts the immune system. It may take 1 1/2 months to heal the gut lining after getting hidden gluten.Amour thyroid has some T3 and calcitonin. Synthroid is only T4..may not convert to T3. Zn/Se/enough iron/strong probiotic may help convert T4 to T3 for thyroid. Antibiotics/Lyme etc may block thyroid..so low temperature. Taking body temperature may help a person know what is happening and writing a journal for food/supplements/medicine/symptoms/date/time day etc. I take strong probiotic before a meal or far from stomach acid or a antibiotic by at least 2 hours. I take HCl and enzymes after a meal with supplements. Antibiotics may not work if close to food/supplements...wait 2 hours to take. Planning ahead of time when to take everything may help. The Celiac diet/help and LDN were very helpful since each time a person eats gluten and the other foods I mentioned the immune system may go down. LDN helps the immune system in a amazing way..is about $1 a day from a compounding pharmacy..usually Alternative doctor gives it. Taken at night LDN is much stronger than in the day.I am still healing from the Lyme..head/legs swell etc. I am trying many things...love A L complex and more natural help instead of the antibiotics except Minocycline which was great help. Some doses were too strong at first so things hurt me...Bactrim hurt my heart/Plaquenil hurt my eyes/Minocycline...strange cognitive errors/antibiotics lowered Mg/B vitamins/A L complex made hormone off, but eventually in a good way. I am healing, but body/brain went through much. I pray I can heal 100% and more...What helps me:Garlic (has Se)/Oil of oregano/PQQ/Banderol/Samento/Vit C and Vit C IV with glutathione push/monolaurin/coconut oil/fermented food/2 Serrapeptase/organic cranberries (blended with good water) when eating/Far Infrared Sauna 130 degrees about 30 minutes...once every 2 weeks maybe or what can handle..sea salt and good water afterwards/hyperbaric chamber/A L complex (may help heal the gut lining and help cancer/Lyme etc.)/Minocycline at night/Bactrim (can take with food)/Doxycline/Vit D3 5000IU/sunlight/exercise/swim in Cl pool/Orthomolecular 4 sight/Amour thyroid/ LDN/Buffered powder C/strong dairy free probiotic: Bioray Cytroflora Probiotic and Orthobiotic or Ultra Floral Critical care/Hydrogen peroxide (food grade) may help some people/ Celiac help which which helps the immune system/Rife machine may help some people. Vit B12 2500 mcg of methylcobalamin shot daily may help the brain heal from damage from the Lyme/coinfections and raise oxygen in the brain body. Cryptolepis (from Africa...compounding pharmacy or Amazon) ...1 tsp 3X a day. When I got out of the hospital and my medicine ran out, I didn't know to get more Lyme help. Eventually one doctor helped...realized I still had Lyme. I did not find an Integrative Lyme doctor until a year after getting Lyme. I finally read the Lyme books. I prefer herbals. Antibiotics hurt me...like Chemo may kill the cancer patient. I pray I can heal with natural help.Books: Buhner/Waisbren/Dr. Kevin Conners, Kenneth Singleton books are very good.I have Cryptolepis from a compounding pharmacy..orange flavor and in water instead of alcohol... ($91 for a large bottle and shipping)..one tsp 3X a day. It causes more hot flashes, but helps symptoms. Keep refrigerated and out of the light. Shake well. It is great help for Lyme/coinfections.http://www.amazon.com/Montana-Farmacy-Cryptolepis-Sanguinolenta-Tincture/dp/B00GU0Q044http://www.people.com/article/avril-lavigne-lyme-disease-bedridden

Most informative, helpful book on Lyme I have read (and I have read A LOT!)
I have found this book so incredibly helpful and I know I will be going back to it throughout my entire treatment. It is definitely worth the price as it offers a whole new way of looking at and treating Lyme than any other book I have read. It just reaffirmed my decision to be my own advocate in my healing process, and though I will definitely always work with an LLMD, it is my own intuition and body that guides my treatment, not just what a Doctor says. Of course Drs. offer incredible guidance and knowledge and all Lyme patients should be in the care of a good one, but ultimately, we have to be in charge, as each case is so entirely different and there will never be a "magic bullet" or "one size fits all" approach to treating Lyme. So we absolutely have to be flexible in our approach and willing to try anything and everything. And this book helps you build your own template to create your own personal treatment plan. It is easy to get excited about different treatments you hear about and think, oh maybe that will be the one that cures me. Sadly, the reality is that the only way to completely recover from Lyme disease is to be diligent in your treatment, and steadfast in your willingness to try new things and change what doesn't work.On a side note, I thought the chapter on addressing your lifestyle and worldview to heal from Adrenal Fatigue was so incredibly important, and has never been discussed in any other book I have read. This disease has made it very difficult for me to live in modern day society with the stress, toxins, and emphasis on materialistic crap. I keep telling people "the world has changed more in the last 150 years than it has in the entire history of mankind, and our bodies are unable to adapt fast enough!" To see that in writing from somebody else was so refreshing! I have been so passionately drawn to a simpler way of life and this book made me realize that that was a symptoms of adrenal fatigue, and not, in fact, reality. Though once I have fully recovered from this awful disease, the new and improved lifestyle and attitude this disease has forced me to adopt, will hopefully keep me from ever getting this sick again! I have learned what is really important in life and as crazy as it sounds, that lesson has made this disease worth it (I'm having a good day though...I might not feel the same ways tomorrow!)Almost everyone I know with Lyme rejoiced when they finally got a diagnosis...until they researched it and found out what they were actually up against...it's like out of a science fiction novel! But it is my belief that the ones that will make a full recovery are the ones that are willing to work. They research. They try everything available. They listen to a Dr. AND their own bodies. So, if you are happy with just feeling better, then continue what your doing and live your life. But, if you are like me and refuse to give up until you are 100% better, then this book is for you!

Very useful and interesting
This is an excellent book and an invaluable resource on treatments and support for Lyme disease and its associated infections. Lyme disease (known as Lyme borreliosis in the UK and Europe) is much more prevalent across the world than many people realise and is a very complex illness to treat and there is no one individual treatment that works for everybody. The useful information in this book is based on extensive Lyme disease research and personal experiences of the author, and not only covers the infection itself but also things such as heavy metal detoxification, diet, parasites and adrenal and liver support which may also need to be addressed.

This is definitely not a "stand alone" book.
This is definitely not a "stand alone" book. For instance in one chapter he makes comments about the "Rife Machine" but nowhere in his book does he tell you what a Rife Machine is.Instead he mentions that his comments are only for those people who have read another book of his about this machine. This book is ONLY suitable for long-term Lyme patients who have read his two other books and not for newly infected persons such as myself.
