Antblocker Pet Food Tray, Terracotta

I have this style and I have the Antser style. Both do the job, but the Antser is way better designed. The top comes off, it's easy to fill and you don't splash water all over the place when putting it back down. If you do get the Antblocker I found it is way easier to fill it though that small hole if you push out the plastic that blocks the hole and then put the faucet (or better if you have it a pull out faucet) right up on the hole so it doesn't splash all over the top. I have not found a fix yet for it splashing water all over the place when I put it down no matter how careful I am even when its not completely filled.The ant blocker is only a couple of bucks cheaper so they are pretty even in price. The Antser is only sold through their site, they used to be on amazon but no longer. It is a little smaller but in my opinion a much better design and just way easier to deal with.

It seems to be keeping the ants away, and it's nice that it's a tray so it can hold both the dry and wet food bowls for the cat colony. It would be much easier to use if (1) there was some way to tell how much water is in it and whether you have to refill or you are overfilling and (2) it were easier to fill (you have to be fairly precise about pouring it into the 1" hole on top). Also you have to pour slowly, because the hole is netted (to keep solids out) and slows down water entry.Extra extra points if the company were to line the bottom with copper for the slugs!!

I love this thing. I live in Costa Rica where there are lots of ants. I have to buy expensive cat food because my one baby has stomach problems and can't eat anything cheaply made. $22 for a 6.6 pound bag of food. So far, it is working to keep the ants out of the food. I can fit two bowls on it, which is nice because we have three cats. They have no problem getting to the food and it seems better for them because they don't have to bend down as far now to reach the food. If you ever move to a tropical climate, get this...and invest a lot in Tupperware! That keeps the ants out too!

Well, there are no ants in our guys' food, which is very good. However the tray is impossible to move from place to place once it's filled with water, and it's hard to really clean it since the two pieces are connected. And I know there were complaints when it was two separate pieces, because people had a hard time fitting it together. But it does work well!

This is one of the most useful things in my house. I just wish that it had an easier way to check water levels and to empty the water. I keep this tray inside the house, so moving it to the sink in order to dump out the old water and refill it, is kind of tricky. In other words WATER EVERYWHERE. (hence 4 stars)

Hi - I do not do a lot of reviews on Amazon but HAD to give a shout out to this product. I have been at my wits-end trying to keep the ants out of my cat's food. This really works. Just follow the directions (i.e. don't let it lean against a wall where the craty ants can form a bridge and....voila! Thank you to whoever invented this. I wanted to write a review as I was not certain when I bought it because there were only a couple of reviews. Take the word of an A-type personality...it works.

The best ever! Texas ants are now eating somewhere other than my house! Not a problem keeping it filled as this is a small chore compared to the frustrating waste of pet food or watching our pets eat food that has ants in it. If you worry about mosquitos hatching just add a bit of vinegar to the water. Nice large size hold two plates and 6 cats can eat at the same time with no problems. As we feed feral cats here in the country, this item is the best, very sturdy and made here in the USA!

LOVE IT!! This antblocker tray really works! It's so nice not having to deal with the ants on a daily basis now! It is a great invention! I have 3 trays and will order a few more! I do add in a couple drops of chlorox in the water before pouring it into the tray to keep the water from getting stagnant and smelly as we live in a warm weather climate year round.
