Wash filters in washer!
I have four of the filters for the Bissel Zing. After I vacuum I empty the canister and take out the filter, separate the screen from the filter and remove any loose excess. I throw both the filter and screen in the washer with a load of towels and wash. I retrieve both the filter and screen from the load so they do NOT go into the dryer. I then leave them to air dry. I enjoy a clean filter every time I vacuum.
