I Recommend this if you want to protect your countertop
It looks great and protects my beautiful marble counter tops. I was leery to place hot pots directly on my new marble so I got this to sit by my range. I have a plain one, no blue stripes, on the other side and I'm contemplating getting another one of these to match. I highly recommend this because not only is it heat proof but it has heft, is beautiful and is well made.
