I Have Abused This Item
I have not treated this pedal kindly. It’s at the front of one of my paddle boards that lives in the garage. Yes, I play guitar in the garage where I won’t bother anybody who loves music. I also sand wood, spray polyurethane and smoke cigarettes in this garage - the floor is typically a combination of dirt, sawdust, leaves, glue and paint; all of which ends up on my shoes before I hit this pedal.Zero problems. It just works.

Works to control my Boss GT1000Core wah and volume but...
Just keep in mind it doesn't control both volume and wah at the same time, which is fine by me and I never need to control volume and wah simultaneously. The way it works for me is if the wah effect is turned off it controls volume. The second you turn wah on it controls that and stops controlling volume. I have now tried it with other effect parameter controls at the same time as volume and that DOES indeed work. So for example if you want reverb or delay time to increase as you also raise the volume you can program the Boss unit to control both. So, works great for me, but be aware you need to use a TRS cable and it does not come with one - which makes sense as you want the exact size needed for your pedal board so order what length you need. The second output the instruction card says it 1/4" tip sleeve but it doesn't do anything when I connect it but does work if I use a TRS cable. Anyhow, it's very sturdy feeling and has a nice small footprint.

Great for switching out guitars and not needing to turn off preamps
Great volume pedal for the price. Small and works well.

Need to know: TRS and polarity
There are some common themes in some of these reviews that should be addressed in this searchable place. If the pedal is not working at all, check to make sure you are using a TRS cable, and NOT a regular guitar cable. If the end has one black ring around it, that is a regular guitar/instrument cable. If it has two rings, it has two channels = stereo = TRS.Another issue is the pedal's range when used as an expression pedal. So assuming you're using a TRS cable, you might notice the full 0-127 gets used up mostly in the middle 1/3rd of the pedal's range. That has to do with the pedal's polarity, and unfortunately this pedal doesn't have a switch or a second jack to change between TRS and RTS. I was calibrating my Airstep to use the expression pedal, and when I had it set to use RTS, I saw the range that some reviewers have seen. Then I switched it to TRS polarity, and I saw 0-127 smoothly across the entire pedal's range.(Other than that, this little pedal is rock solid and a welcome addition to my rig.)

Works well with the Boss SY-1
I have a Hotone Xtomp pedal that really impressed me, particularly with its build quality, so when I went looking for a 10k expression pedal to use with the Boss SY-1 Synthesizer pedal, I was happy to find this one. The metal housing alone made it worth the few additional bucks compared to the plastic Roland ES-5, and it offers a a nice small footprint -- really the perfect compromise between size and throw. For expression; make sure you use a quality TRS cable, but the fact that it can also work as a volume pedal makes it a nice little under-the-radar value.UPDATE: I have since also used this as an expression pedal with an EHX Ravish Sitar and a Boss SL-2 Slicer -- the more I use it, the more I like the compact footprint.

Great Build Quality, Borderline Unfunctional
This product is of surprisingly great build quality for its price point, but unfortunately it does not do very well at fulfilling it's intended purpose. As a volume pedal its essentially a kill switch or a slight top end cut, nothing in-between. One might think this is due to the size, but actually the potentiometer inside which controls the volume seems to be of the wrong specification for actually doing swells. You are literally better off using the potentiometer (volume) on your guitar to do this if it's of reasonable quality. As a way to quickly kill your volume it can be ok, but so is your guitar's volume knob or your amp's standby or master volume. As an expression pedal it might technically work, but for my Boss pedal it would not function as anything more than a bad tap tempo. To make things worse the volume and expression are not switchable, and the edge case for wanting volume to change alongside the effect is not worth it, so it must be unplugged from one to use it. Another kicker is that the case is visually the same as the more expensive powered wah, and inside you'll realize the circuit is not complicated and the mechanism is the same as a cheap wah. My recommendation is to buy a Roland EV-5 and a dedicated Volume pedal. I might be able to mod this into something cool, but as delivered it delivers dissapointment.

Buena sensibilidad
El producto llego bien empacado, las pruebas han sido muy buenas, buena sensibilidad y responde muy bien a los movimientos. Lo uso con pedal multiefectos NUX TRIDENT y funciona perfecto.
