5 Seconds Before a Witch Falls in Love

In 2019, there was a one-shot manga called Killing Me! which concerned a cute little vampire who was in love with the female vampire hunter charged with killing her. When I read the premise description of 5 Seconds Before a Witch Falls In Love, it sounded like a variation on that theme and I daresay, it proved even better than Killing Me!. The volume has two different sets of wildly mismatched women falling in love with each other. Our witch Meg finds herself attracted to Lilith, a young witch hunter and Lilith has the same feelings (which she thinks is some curse Meg put on her). This situation brings on a lot of misadventure and misunderstandings. Meg and Lilith get two stories and the third involves Kanna, a high school girl who can see spirits and now has two of them hanging around her: Samael an angel and Belphegor, a demon. These two supernatural ladies are supposed to keep an eye on demons entering the human realm but they are also both attracted to Kanna, which gets interesting when a new female classmate starts putting the moves on Kanna. 5 Seconds Before a Witch Falls In Love is a very nice addition to the supernatural yuri genre and it would be nice if we could see future adventures of these characters.

I really wanted to like this. I really did. The problem is it's three stories (only the first and last having any connection to the title) without anywhere near enough meat on their bones. It felt like they could have done so much more with these stories, up to turning each of them into two or three volume series but, for whatever reason they chose to keep them very short. It's very annoying.And yes, there is a story unrelated to the title. It's about a girl who can see spirits being followed by an angel and a demon madly in love with her, tracking down a demon that's escaped from hell. Sounds interesting, but over way too quick

This one shot was really cute u have the one on the cover and another short story in the middle. I do wish they put the short story in the last chapter so u could read the whole story alone with out stopping n reading another part but still a cute yuri i enjoyed reading it

Two cute stories to enjoy. What a pleasant read this was, really enjoyed the characters. I honestly wished for more to read after I finished.
